About me

Therapy For Thought is a private practice based in Peasmarsh, East Sussex. I cover all areas of East Sussex and Kent.

Therapy For Thought is a hypnotherapy practice that can help people overcome stress, anxiety and phobias. I can also help clients with other aspects of their life such as giving up smoking and with grief and loss. I also focus on food therapy and our relationship with food - by making simple changes we can have a healthier and better lifestyle. By taking a new look at our relationships with our kitchen self we can further develop both personally and professionally.

In relation to the applications for addiction, anxiety and depression, I am able to offer work with individuals, couples and family groups. I offer individually tailored weight loss plans to my clients. By focusing on my client’s motivations and self-esteem I am able to apply a range of techniques such as mindfulness, hypnotherapy, NLP and motivational interviewing.

I offer one-to-one sessions on issues related to personal health, body image, and weight maintenance. I also offer sessions on self-esteem, relaxation, stress management, confident building, making effective life transitions, assertive communication skills, conflict resolutions and finding your life purpose.

I’m a qualified teacher work in a SEN school before teaching I was a chef for 25 year and that is why I am very passionate about food and therapy combining theses two aspects together I am very interested in looking the  peoples relationships and emotion with food. And why they are eating like they are. I am currently doing a qualification in psychotherapy so that my practice will have a more holistic approach to therapy

I am running group workshops that are related to weight management and cooking aimed at helping people with depression, anxiety, loneliness and gut health. I run an ethical practice, following the codes of the National Hypnotherapy Society

At Therapy for Though, I tailor-make weight reduction programmes that are client centre and are based on my client’s individual needs. The programmes that I offer are the Virtual Hypno-Gastric Band, Hypno-Fasting, Mindfulness Weight Management (either individually or in groups) and Gut-Health Workshops.

Mindfulness Weight Management is a Weight Reduction programme that uses techniques such as NLP, hypnosis, mindfulness eating and motivated interviewing. Therefore, there is no dieting involved. The idea behind this programme is to train your sub-conscious mind into making better choices that inform your eating practices.

Mindfulness Weight Management - Group work.

This is a programme designed for groups of up to 10 clients and is spread over a 10-week period of one-hour sessions per week. In this programme I am use the techniques as described above. I will be running this program in January. At the end of May I will be running an eight week weight-loss  and well-being program for people to feel better for the summer.

I will be running Cookery workshops and course in the Summer and Autumn of this year.

The Society seeks to contribute to public wellbeing both through the use of hypnotherapy and by ensuring that hypnotherapists are safe, competent and ethical in practice.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I have started to run weight loss group therapy in Peasmarsh village hall. This will end before Easter. After Easter I will be running Well-being group therapy in Peasmarsh and Windchelsea this is an eight week program.
