About me
I am a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist working in East Lancashire, specifically in my therapy room in Burnley. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy differs from other forms of hypnotherapy by identifying the problem and then working positively together to achieve the changes required. The techniques I use are backed by the latest neuroscience alongside hypnosis to give the desired results as quickly as possible.
I offer a 50-minute initial consultation at better than half the normal price to let you decide whether I am the right therapist for you. During this, I will take a brief health history before explaining how the brain works in simple terms. The sessions are conducted professionally and confidentially in a relaxed setting; you will be free to ask questions and will leave with a relaxation CD/download that helps with confidence and aids sleep. It is important that the client listens to this between sessions in order to enhance the therapy.
I use Solution Focused Hypnotherapy to help people with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and OCD. Weight management and smoking cessation are other areas that can be addressed and can offer positive results.
I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).

Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy. In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers. A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
info Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
I also help clients with excessive worrying, overthinking, lack of motivation, unhelpful habits, difficulty coping with change, and building emotional resilience.
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy can provide support for people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or would simply like to develop a more positive outlook and make meaningful changes in their lives.

Further information
My Approach to Hypnotherapy:
I offer a friendly, professional, and confidential hypnotherapy service, delivered exclusively online via Zoom.
My approach is solution-focused, meaning that rather than spending lengthy periods exploring problems from the past, we concentrate on identifying your strengths, understanding how the mind works, and helping you move towards the future you want.
What to Expect:
We begin with an initial consultation, where we discuss what you would like help with, how hypnotherapy works, and what you can expect from our sessions. This is also an opportunity to ask questions and decide whether my approach is right for you.
Subsequent sessions combine solution-focused psychotherapy with hypnosis, helping you develop more positive patterns of thinking and behaviour.
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and relaxation. You remain in control throughout, and there is no requirement to reveal anything you would prefer to keep private.
Convenient Online Appointments:
All sessions take place via Zoom, allowing you to access hypnotherapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home, wherever you are located. I work with adults and children aged eight and over, tailoring my approach to each individual's needs.
