About me

Hi, I'm Carol and I am a fully qualified Clinical Practitioner of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and, I have a question for you:

"Have you ever wondered what life would be like if you were free from the debilitating affects of anxiety, depression, stress or even low mood?" (not to mention sleep issues, lack of confidence and/or self worth/esteem etc.) that can accompany these issues"

I trained with the prestigious CPHT Clifton Practice in York, precisely to help people like you, and now specialise in helping both young people and adults to achieve there dream of a preferred, positive future in the way they imagine it to be. SFHT also ensures you are equipped to continue living your best life, long after therapy comes to an end.

How Hypnotherapy can help you:

This science based therapy is not only proven to work, but proven to work quickly - typically 8 to 12 sessions, but can be less - It not only helps with anxiety, stress, depression and low mood but can improve confidence levels, banish phobias, improve sleep and help in many other areas of mental health crisis.

Hypnotherapy is a gentle talking therapy combining the use of complex language patterns and trance hypnosis (deep relaxation), and has been developed based on a proven foundation of neuroscientific evidence that could soon see you living your best life, in the way that you imagine it to be.

Although we have one brain, it holds two minds - the intellectual mind and the primitive mind. The primitive, or negative, mind controls 90% - 95% of our thought patterns, so it's hardly surprising we are so susceptible to mental health issues.

What to expect in your first session:

Your first session is an Initial Consultation, and it's FREE.

Taking your first steps into therapy can feel a little daunting, so I hope the following insight will help toward allaying some, if not all, of those fears or misgivings you may have... So let me start by explaining what the Initial Consultation is all about.

The Initial Consultation is designed to help me gather not only your personal  details, but to collect the relevant information needed to tailor your therapy sessions directly to your specific needs/wants. but it's not all about me! There will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask me anything that you would like to know also.

Moving on from this, we will together, dive deeper into the dynamics of the brain, helping you to understand what is happening within your own brain right now, and why. We will explore the roles of the primitive and intellectual minds,  their relevance and how it is possible to develop and grow new neural pathways built on a preferred, positive way forward that you can and will create for yourself during your week on week progression. I will also explain why we don't dwell on the reasons that led you to seek therapy, but rather, why we focus on the solution and how, together, we can create and build a positive future in the way that you see it. After all....

'What the mind can conceive, the mind can achieve'

Finally - I look forward to meeting you and more importantly, helping you.
