I am a registered and qualified and professional Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. Practicing in the Berkshire and Surrey borders from relaxing therapy rooms in Bagshot and Sandhurst. For clients further afield, I’m also available via Skype.

What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern combination of psychotherapy techniques and hypnosis. It’s based on the latest research from neuroscience and incorporates the very best elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming. My approach harnesses a powerful combination of three key techniques that can help you make the positive changes you need to feel better and move forward:
Solution Focused Brief Therapy - Together we’ll focus on your where you want to be and what you want to achieve in life. This doesn’t involve talking about or dwelling on the past, instead I support you in finding the small positive steps that you can take towards your preferred future.
Brain Based Therapy - Using the latest research from medical neuroscience and explaining how our minds creates unwanted negative behaviours and symptoms. This knowledge will help you understand why we feel the way we do and what you can do about it. As you take control and think better, you’ll find it easier to approach everyday life from a more logical perspective.
Hypnotherapy - Using guided relaxation to encourage you into a focused state of attention, helping your mind relax and focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful to you to bring about therapeutic change at a subconscious level. It is a safe, proven and effective tool to achieve lasting positive change and a pleasant relaxing experience.

I also have also experienced the symptoms of anxiety and stress myself and have personally experienced the benefits of hypnotherapy to overcome these symptoms. It has completely changed my life and I so enjoy sharing the positive benefits with my clients and witnessing their positive changes.
What should I expect at my sessions?
At your initial consultation, together we’ll explore how you’d like hypnotherapy to help you and agree what we aim to achieve. I’ll explain a little about how the mind works helping you understand why you have been feeling the way you have and how you can move forward in a positive way. It’s also your chance to ask me questions and allows you to find out more about my approach and whether or not it is right for you. Above all you’ll leave understanding how hypnotherapy can help you including how many sessions it is likely to take.
Provided you are willing to make changes, hypnotherapy can help achieve your goals. You’ll also receive a free relaxation CD or mp3 to take home which supports the process. There is no hypnosis at these sessions, but it is an informative and relaxed session which allows me to design a tailored treatment plan for our subsequent sessions together. For many clients, it’s the beginning of real focus and positive change.
At subsequent hypnotherapy sessions, we’ll begin each session talking about your progress, exploring the positive things that have happened. I'll be encouraging you to reflect in a positive way, focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on problems. We’ll be imagining how life will be when your problem is gone, when you’re feeling more relaxed, confident and moving towards your goals. Visualising your preferred future gives you a useful perspective on the quality of your life. We’ll then consolidate our discussion using guided relaxation into a state of hypnosis to help bring about the therapeutic change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified and insured Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. I trained at The Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training School (CPHT), which is a recognised, accredited Centre of Excellence in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and a leading UK government recognised teaching authority.
I also work for the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, (AfSFH) as Head of Marketing, part of the Executive team. At AfSFH we are seeking to further the practice of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy by supporting and developing the skills and interests of members engaged in that profession, as well as increasing public awareness.
I also have over twenty years of experience in the corporate world of marketing having worked for various blue-chip organisations, so, bring a wealth of experience having spent time coaching and developing teams and individuals through challenging and joyous situations.

Your Initial Consultation - £35
30 – 45 minutes (Includes free relaxation recording to take away)

You’ll also receive a free relaxation CD or mp3 to take home which supports the process. There is no hypnosis at these sessions, but it is an informative and relaxed session which allows me to design a tailored treatment plan for our subsequent sessions together.
Individual Hypnotherapy Sessions - £70
50 – 55 minutes
We’ll work together each week using a tailored approach towards your goals. We’ll begin by talking about the progress you have made and begin building new patterns and solution to get you to where you want to be. I’ll then consolidate the session by guiding you into a state of focused attention which helps you bring about these beneficial changes. A very relaxing and positive process.
Stop Smoking - £160
90 – 120 minutes (one off session – includes free hypnotherapy recording to take away)
No initial consultation required
The number of sessions needed will vary, for example; treatment of depression or anxiety may require approximately 8 – 10 sessions, treatment of phobias just 3. Stop-smoking will require a single session. Payments can be made by cash, bank transfer or cheque before or after your sessions. (Skype bookings require payment 24 hours before the session to secure the booking).
