About me

Why willpower isn't the answer

The things that stick around longest usually aren't things willpower can touch. You've probably already figured that out. You want to stop smoking, want to stop feeling anxious, want to have confidence. And honestly, if wanting was enough, you'd have sorted it by now. Your conscious mind can want all it likes, but your subconscious is quietly running the whole show, and that's where change actually happens.

How I work

That's what I do. I work with the bit that's actually in charge. Hypnotherapy, BWRT®, and cognitive approaches are just different doors into the same room.
I've spent 25 years watching people walk in convinced they're fundamentally broken, and walk out a few sessions later wondering what took them so long. Phobias can clear in a session or two.  Smoking habits can drop away more easily than you ever imagined. And anxiety that's been running your life for so long that you've forgotten what calm and safety actually feels like finally begins to shift and settle.

Some things take longer, especially if there's real trauma in the mix, and I'll never pretend otherwise. But they move.

You're not broken

There's no such thing as normal, and I say that having worked with thousands of people. Everyone who's sat across from me has been some flavour of stuck in their own way. It's not a defect; it happens to us all. But it's more often than not just an old pattern that made sense once and doesn't have to anymore.
I see people in person in Northwich, and online anywhere in the UK. If you want to find out what shifting that pattern could actually feel and look like, get in touch.

I'd love to hear from you for a no-obligation informal chat.
