What is parts therapy?

Parts therapy is based on a belief that our subconscious mind is made up of many different parts, and each part has different separate areas of responsibility. Those of you who have been in business as self-employed will recognise the need to wear many different hats. Some days you will wear the administration hat, marketing hat, accountant hat, parent hat and so on. Internal conflict occurs when we have two different parts of the subconscious pulling in opposite directions.

Event details

All hypnotherapists are welcome to join our community support event. This event is not limited to those who trained with me. Students and certified hypnotherapists from any training provider are very welcome.

What we'll cover

  • We will have the opportunity to seek guidance on any client issues or concerns.
  • We can share news and success stories with clients.
  • Share new approaches to developing our practice.
  • What was most effective in attracting new business?
  • How to sell a package of sessions rather than single sessions.
  • If you charge an hourly rate, you set the limit for your own earnings.
  • People value what they put time, effort, and money into.
  • Share any new skills you have learned.
  • Ideas for workshops.
  • Form collaborations.

Benefits

The benefits of a community of like-minded people are invaluable. Never underestimate the value of talking to others.

Thinking about supervision or support? When you think of attending a supervision-group peer support, what are your initial thoughts? Are you going to attend only because it is a requirement of your registration membership? Let me give my take on one very important benefit.

You build a network of contacts with like-minded people willing to share. People you can call for advice. People you can meet for coffee and chat. Arrange referrals both ways.
You might not like working with trauma and enjoy phobias, for example. There may be another therapist with the opposite likes and dislikes. Exchange contact details. Build contact groups. e.g. WhatsApp.

Meet specialists on specific issues. Gain advice on choosing a speciality. Pick up marketing ideas. Discover others have similar issues or thoughts. We work in an insular environment, only meeting clients and helping them resolve their issues. Networking allows you to meet others in the same situation and, let’s face it, it is good to talk. Our Group support events help provide this.

I desire to provide a safe place for you to ask questions, perhaps on a difficult client issue.
A place where you can talk freely without fear of criticism. Where you can perhaps help others by sharing your knowledge.

In line with the GHR criteria for membership, newly qualified hypnotherapists are required to attend four supervision sessions or peer support events annually during their first two years of practice, plus complete 25 hours of CPD annually.

Our supervision and peer support events are an excellent way to further build your confidence and skills and meet with fellow hypnotherapists, building a network of contacts.

Our group peer support/supervision events align with the membership criteria of the General Hypnotherapy Register, the GHSc and ACCPH accreditation. Attendance confirmation and receipts are issued in PDF format after the event.

In addition to sharing information and ideas, you can receive advice and support on all things hypnotic! If you have a question and would prefer to be anonymous, then send it to me. I will raise it at the event. No names divulged.

Requests to present on a topic must be agreed and content approved with me prior to the event date. The morning inclusive content could be subject to change without notice.
