Stop vaping with hypnosis

Today, millions of people around the world are vaping instead of smoking traditional tobacco products. While vaping is considerably safer health-wise compared to tobacco (because it does not contain nearly the same level of carcinogens) nicotine means that many people have simply traded one addiction for another. So, it’s not surprising that people are looking to stop vaping as well.

Unfortunately, nicotine is highly addictive and as many smokers can attest, a difficult habit to effectively break. However, there is one method that has proven to be safe, effective, and useful in weening people off both smoking and vaping, hypnosis.

What is hypnosis?

You may have seen hypnotists on TV or perhaps at events or demonstrations using the power of hypnosis on various people for entertainment purposes. Of course, hypnosis, when used to curb bad habits such as vaping, is a different application, although, in form, it’s quite similar. Being under hypnosis is a heightened mental state where a person becomes more susceptible to suggestion.

In this state, it is possible to plant suggestions that help a person break habits such as vaping. When applied repeatedly, it can help people overcome many issues in their lives and create new, good habits that lead to better health and happiness.

Can hypnosis stop you vaping?

For those who want to stop vaping, hypnosis works by planting strong suggestions in the mind that help a person to alter their behaviour in a safe, natural way. While the suggestions may vary to a certain degree, their effect is mostly the same. It is to turn the experience of vaping into something that they want to avoid.

The suggestions may range from altering the taste or perception of the vaping process itself. By replacing anticipation with hesitation, it allows the mind to consider alternatives and not fall into the same habits that led to vaping. This is because nicotine is not the only source of addiction. The mind and body are also affected in ways that make the habit even harder to break.

When you think about vaping, it’s not just the anticipation of inhaling the nicotine, but also in holding the vaping device and your actions that are associated with its use. You may find that vaping is a part of your day just like eating or watching TV. Hypnosis introduces new habits and helps put away the old ones so that a person can alter their behaviour.

It is the replacement of old habits with new ones along with suggestions placed in the mind about how vaping is an unpleasant experience and something not to be anticipated that breaks the cycle. The good news is that the hypnosis can be reinforced at home by listening to the audio regularly so that you can maintain your abstinence from nicotine. Hypnosis can also help ease any withdrawal symptoms that you might be feeling as well.

If you want to stop vaping, hypnosis may provide the answer. It is safe, effective, and creates opportunities to replace your habit with something that benefits your health and wellbeing.
