De-Clutter Your Mind

It can seem that life demands so much of us – Many people are ‘running on empty’ with no energy to invest in personal well-being. Our heads are constantly full of everything that needs to be done and, sometimes, unwanted thoughts and feelings. Whatever your own ‘internal clutter’ is, it can be a major block to living a fully productive and enjoyable life.
Removing this clutter leaves a person with a sense of being free, balanced and in control. Put very simply, if you change your mind, you can change your life. How can you do this? Learn to meditate.
A study by Eileen Luders at the University of California has shown that people who meditate have better focus and control over their emotions, reduced levels of stress and bolstered immune systems. Results also show that several areas in the brains of those who meditate are significantly larger. "Because these areas of the brain are closely linked to emotion”, Luders said, "these might be the neuronal underpinnings that give meditators' the outstanding ability to regulate their emotions and allow for well-adjusted responses to whatever life throws their way."
