About me

Hi, I'm Tina, a qualified and registered Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist and founder of Pure Calm Hypnotherapy Practice. Having worked as a Registered Nurse in the NHS for over 20 years I have a wealth of professional experience in building therapeutic relationships and supporting people and their families through difficult times, journeys of acceptance, change and recovery. Now, I'm focusing my skills into supporting clients to optimise their mental and physical well-being and live their best life through Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. I believe that everyone has the ability and skills they need to improve their life and I am here to help them recognise and unlock their full potential. I would love to be part of your journey to your desired future too. I practice solution-focused hypnotherapy. This approach combines the best research-backed modalities of psychotherapy including Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with neuroscientific understanding about the brain, and the amazing benefits of hypnosis. Each session is structured and tailored to the individual's unique needs and goals. We focus energy away from the problems and onto the solutions by identifying, acknowledging and celebrating the resources, skills and achievements clients already have in their lives to support them in defining, visualising and actualising a preferred future rather than analysing the past.

I offer a free initial consultation by video or phone.  This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and find out if working with me feels like the right fit for you.  There is absolutely no obligation to book any further sessions after this call.

Sessions after the initial consultation are an hour long and cost £60.

You will learn how the mind works in relation to your concerns and experiences, engage in some solution focused talking therapy followed by relaxing visualisation based trance work, all at your own pace and comfort.

Sessions can be offered online via secure video consultation to utilise the convenience and comfort of your own surroundings, or we can meet in person in Nine Springs Natural Health Clinic in Yeovil if you prefer.

Please reach out if you would like to know more, I look forward to talking with you about how our working together can help.

Training, qualifications & experience

I graduated from the renowned CPHT Bristol Training School with a Diploma in Solution-focused Hypnotherapy in June 2024. I was working with real clients throughout the course, with robust clinical supervision and reflective practice to build competence as a practitioner. I very much enjoyed studying the history, theories, research and application in practice of hypnotherapy and related disciplines, and through submission of an extensive portfolio of written records and case studies I have also been awarded the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma, verified by the NCH and externally accredited by the NCFE. I am now working towards the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma to enhance my breadth and depth of knowledge and skills and keep up to date with the latest research and techniques to inform my practice.
