About me

Life is wonderful - until it isn't.

Those times when it feels like every step forward is hard work. Sleep is a blessed relief, or worse, elusive. Irritability, anxiety, procrastination, and lethargy reside where there had been  joy, laughter, contentment, and inner calm. It becomes more difficult to maintain friendships and relationships with family because overthinking and worry are ever present. Simple decisions such as, what to eat for tea, seem impossible to make. Work begins to suffer. Colds and peculiar aches set in. Coping strategies are no longer working like they used to and maybe a few unhealthy ones have crept in. Something needs to change but it's difficult to know how.

The above paragraph describes the insidious nature of a prolonged anxious state and some of the symptoms. It can happen to anyone and the reason it seems difficult to fix is because it is an unconscious pattern. No amount of positive thinking, or will power, will work on it for very long because they are both conscious decisions.

The good news is that as you have found your way to this site you have probably realised it will be much easier to improve with a little bit of guidance and support.

I act as a translator between the conscious (the bit that wants to be happy/sleep better/feel calmer/etc) and the unconscious (the bit that is driving the anxious state). I give you the tools to calm down the nervous system so you can think more clearly and resolve any underlying issues that might be causing it.

I want to help you: I have over ten years of experience as a qualified hypnotherapist and stay up to date with regular training. I aim to give each and every person who comes to see me a uniquely tailored package to suit their individual needs. No two people are exactly the same so I use a variety of therapeutic techniques designed to work with your specific personality. I offer a free 15 minute introductory mini session as I believe it is important for you to feel comfortable and confident in the therapy.

You can expect support between sessions by email or text as well as a backup soundfiles. If you would like to make positive changes to your life, health or happiness, then I will do everything I can, in order to help you, help yourself. Having worked with children for over twenty years in education I am particularly interested in supporting parents of young people, particularly parents of neuro-divergent children who may be exhibiting challenging behaviours at home or school.
