About me

Are you successful, stress free, happy and confident, loved and loving, with no bad habits or thoughts or feelings that you can’t explain?  .....Then read no further.

Or could you, like most people, benefit from a fresh perspective on your life; someone to help you through the difficulties we all face from time to time?

Someone you can rely on to be completely confidential, impartial, and with the expert knowledge and skills to help you...

I provide a friendly, confidential integrative therapy service for most psychological, emotional, and relationship issues, and can also help to increase confidence, motivation, focus and communication skills.

I believe that empathy and understanding are essential to help you to overcome your problems, along with trust, honesty, and knowledge.

Now let me tell you a bit more about myself. I was born in Forest Gate in 1960, and have lived and worked in East London for most of my life. Since leaving school I have worked in a wide range of jobs; everything from building work to banking, with my main careers being in the Civil Service, the Police and Newham Youth Offending Team, working with young offenders and victims of crime.

In the late 1990s my wife, Donna, went into therapy following close family bereavements. The change in our lives was amazing, and led to us both deciding to train as therapists. In 2001 I completed a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and opened my first practice in Burges Road, East Ham.

These days I live in Hornchurch with Donna, our daughter, Katie, and our baby son, Morgan. I now have practices in the City of London, Stratford, South Woodford, Walthamstow and Romford, and also offer home visits in East london and South Essex. I have gained a degree in psychology, continued my hypnotherapy and counselling training to advanced level, and have also trained in a range of other therapeutic approaches.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to twenty years experience as a full time therapist, I hold the following qualifications and memberships:

BSc (Hons) - First class Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Psychology from UEL

SQHP - Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice, awarded by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC)

UKCHO - Registered member of the UK Council of Hypnotherapy Organisations

NRRH - Registered member of the National Regulatory Register for Hypnotherapy

GHR - Member of the General Hypnotherapy Register

UKHR - Member of the UK Hypnotherapy Register

I am also a certified practitioner of Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Non-Violent Communication (NVC) .

International Hypnotherapy Association
International Hypnotherapy Association

The International Hypnotherapy Association is one of the leading organisations supporting hypnotherapists in practice. Established in 1997 and representing several hundred therapists, you can be sure to find the properly qualified, ethical and experienced practitioner to meet your needs, wherever you are in the world.

GHR
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice.
