About me
I have been practising hypnotherapy since 2010. I hold two postgraduate diplomas, in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and NLP (Advanced Level with Distinction), from the British Hypnosis Research and Training Institute. I trained there under Stephen Brooks, who introduced Ericksonian hypnotherapy to the UK.
I went on to study with Dr Ernest L. Rossi PhD and Dr Stephen Gilligan PhD, both direct students of Milton H. Erickson. More recently I have trained with Marianne Bentzen in neuroaffective developmental psychology and with Dr Glenn Hartelius PhD in Attention Stances.
With thousands of hours of direct clinical experience, I have worked with people from an exceptionally wide range of backgrounds, ages and life circumstances, addressing a rich diversity of psychological, emotional and embodied challenges. This breadth of experience has deepened my understanding of the complexity of human experience and the importance of an individually tailored, flexible and responsive therapeutic approach.
For over a decade I have also taught workshops that bring hypnosis together with art, movement and performance. These have taken place at world renowned institutions including Serpentine Gallery, the Barbican Centre, Camden Art Centre, the Architectural Association, and ICA Los Angeles.
My work is about helping people reconnect with their own resources, develop greater freedom in how they think, feel and respond to life, and create meaningful, lasting change.
We often find ourselves caught in patterns of thought, emotion and behaviour that no longer serve us. We may understand what needs to change, yet struggle to make that change happen. Hypnotherapy offers a way of working beyond habitual thinking, engaging with the deeper processes that shape our experience, our responses and our relationship with ourselves and the world.
My approach combines Ericksonian and clinical hypnotherapy with psychological exploration, mindfulness and body-based practices. It is collaborative, individually tailored and grounded in the understanding that mind and body are deeply interconnected. Together, we create the conditions for new perspectives, greater emotional flexibility and more effective ways of responding to life's challenges.
I work with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, fears and phobias, low self-esteem, sleep problems, emotional difficulties and periods of personal or professional transition. I also support people wishing to develop greater confidence, creativity, motivation and a stronger sense of direction and purpose.
With over fifteen years of clinical experience, I have witnessed how significant changes can emerge when people begin to relate differently to themselves and their experiences. Sometimes our work focuses on resolving a specific difficulty over a relatively short period; at other times, it involves a deeper exploration of longstanding patterns and more complex personal goals.
Ultimately, my aim is not simply to help you overcome what holds you back, but to support you in discovering new possibilities for how you experience yourself, relate to others and engage with life.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

TESTIMONIALS
"My sessions with Michele were profoundly changing. He very obviously has the strength and stamina, the sensitivity, compassion, the intellectual capacity and deep focus necessary for the work. He also has the best voice in London! Michele is able to help one to achieve greater psycho-physical integration, and also insight by allowing one to go much deeper into an idea that you might bring to the session. I think this is why creative practitioners really like to work with Michele. He has a fundemental grasp of the creative principle. He is effective. He is soulful. He is amazing."
Bonnie Camplin Artist and Senior Lecturer in Fine Art, Goldsmiths
"Michele's hypnotherapy has changed many aspects of my life for the better. Personally I'm a much calmer much more relaxed person, which had a very positive effect on my long term relationship. Professionally Michele’s Hypnotherapy has helped to reduce stress levels to near zero! Decision making under pressure is now super easy. The therapy helped breaking down many blockades which stopped me from changing my career. After 12 years of employment in the same job I'm finally freelancer, have halved my working time, doubled my income and have started another successful business. Easy! My therapy will definitely continue. I can't recommend it enough! Thanks Michele." Kai Schulz, Clapton
"Hypnotherapy with Michele has helped me enormously with symptoms such as bad sleeping patterns, back pain and sugar cravings. Moreover, during the course of treatment - and most certainly, because of the treatment - I was able to look into the source of these problems, as well as identifying other deep rooted issues which were surfacing as muscular pain, inability to relax and general frustration at not escaping old patterns of behaviour. Hypnotherapy with Michele has given me physical release of burden and the clarity of mind necessary to identify and correct hard-dying negative thinking and behavioural patterns whenever they reappear."Renata Molina Lopez
"Michele has helped me untangle many knotted wires, and as a result the experiences within my working life and personal relationships have dramatically improved. I have a lot to thank Michele for, and when things get difficult I know exactly where to turn." Jane Williamson
