About me
I provide evidence-based hypnotherapy and mindfulness support for adults, children, and young people, with a particular focus on anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, menopause support, and confidence-related difficulties.
My approach is calm, collaborative, and tailored carefully to the individual, creating a supportive and non-judgemental space where clients can work at a pace that feels manageable and emotionally safe.
Many people seek support when anxiety, stress, low confidence, or persistent worries begin affecting everyday life. Others may be navigating periods of change, emotional exhaustion, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns that are difficult to shift alone.
Alongside my work with adults, I also have a specialist interest in supporting children and families, particularly around anxiety and communication difficulties. My work with children is child-led, anxiety-aware, and focused on building emotional safety, confidence, and practical support strategies in a gentle and realistic way.
Sessions are available in person in Somerset. Online sessions for adults may also be available following discussion, where appropriate.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold the Gold Standard HPD (Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma) qualification and am registered with the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
I am also a qualified Hypno4Children practitioner and have completed specialist training in selective mutism, including training with Maggie Johnson, alongside ongoing professional development in anxiety-informed therapeutic practice.
My work is grounded in evidence-based practice, mindfulness-informed approaches, ethical professional standards, and continuing professional development.
Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

info Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

I also have a particular interest in anxiety disorders affecting children and young people, including selective mutism and communication anxiety.

I understand that reaching out for support can sometimes feel daunting, particularly when anxiety or stress are already present. I aim to make the process feel as calm, clear, and approachable as possible.
A free 15-minute, no-obligation telephone conversation is available for anyone who would like to ask questions or explore whether hypnotherapy may feel appropriate before booking.
Hypnotherapy is offered as complementary therapeutic support and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or specialist healthcare. Outcomes vary between individuals, and no guarantees can be made.
