About me

Is there something in life that is preventing you from reaching your full potential? Are you feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope with a situation, which is affecting your happiness? I am a friendly and supportive clinical hypnotherapist with a passion for helping you to create lasting and positive change, so that you can live your best life!

I use hypnotherapy in conjunction with other therapeutic techniques tailoring sessions to individual needs. Whilst I am able to help with many different issues, my specialities are anxiety, stress and PTSD.  I am trained in the use of hypno-gastric band therapy for weight loss and am a hypno-oncology practitioner, helping people who are experiencing cancer.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Cert Hyp CS qualification in Hypnotherapy and Counselling skills and am accredited with both the National Hypnotherapy Society and the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. I have many years experience of working with and helping people with personal issues and difficult situations.

In addition to my hypnotherapy certification, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mental Health Awareness, Suicide First Aid and hold a Diploma in EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique.

In order to broaden my knowledge and keep it up to date, I make a commitment to a wide range of CPD, on a regular basis.

I am a specifically trained volunteer for a charitable organisation, supporting people who are in crisis with their own mental health.

In addition to this and very importantly, I have a good deal of life experiences, which enable me to have a genuine understanding of many of the issues I can help with.

Member organisations

GHR

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
