About me
Hi, I’m Kate, and as a clinical solution-focused hypnotherapist, I can help you regain control of your life to achieve practical solutions to life’s challenges, leading to long-term positive change.
I work both online from wherever you live and face-to-face within the Loughborough/Derby/Nottingham area, enabling you to choose which path suits you the most based on individual preferences, needs, and circumstances.
Online therapy is a perfect form of therapy for those who would prefer the comfort and security of their own homes, for those who need to save on time and convenience, and it is accessible wherever you live. There is no need to plan travel time in, and it can suit those with very busy days.
Face-to-face therapy suits those who would prefer that more personal connection in the therapeutic room, which also offers a controlled and private space ensuring confidentiality and security. It can also offer fewer distractions than those that may occur in the home and can create a more immediate and real sense of connection.
I can help you work towards alleviating anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and stress, and help you build up your general well-being. I can also help with OCD, phobias, and confidence building, as well as other life-challenging situations that require a change in mindset to be able to cope better.
I am a member of the Association for Solution-Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH), the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy Diploma at the Clifton Practice, a prominent educational institution offering qualifications recognized by the government. Currently, I am furthering my expertise by pursuing an Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma, which integrates the latest advancements in the field.
In addition, I have completed CPD courses in Psychoneuroimmunology, Neuroscience, Weight Loss Management, Menopause, and Working with Children and Adolescents. As a hypnotherapist, I continually engage in ongoing training, hold a current DBS check, and participate in regular supervision. I am also an active member of several professional associations, adhering strictly to their Codes of Conduct.
I have been working face-to-face with clients at The Bridge Centre for Natural Health in Derby for two and a half years, and have recently started practicing in Loughborough and Beeston as well as working with online clients for nearly three years.
Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice.
