About me
I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) practitioner, with a particular interest and specialism in supporting women experiencing Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), hormonal transitions, and the emotional patterns that can intensify during different stages of a woman’s life.
My work with PMDD focuses on the emotional and psychological experience surrounding the condition. Many of the women I support experience significant changes in mood during the premenstrual phase, including heightened anxiety, irritability, anger, overwhelm, low mood, loss of confidence, emotional sensitivity and feelings of being unable to cope. These symptoms can have a considerable impact on relationships, family life, work and a woman’s sense of self.
Through hypnotherapy and RTT, I help clients explore underlying emotional patterns and past experiences that may contribute to how they respond to stress and emotional triggers. Common themes within my work include people-pleasing, perfectionism, suppressed anger, difficulties setting boundaries, low self-worth, shame, guilt, body-image difficulties, and feeling responsible for the needs and emotions of others.
My approach combines hypnotherapy with elements of inner-child work, guided imagery, breathwork, somatic awareness, emotional processing and nervous-system regulation. I place particular emphasis on helping clients develop greater self-compassion, recognise their needs, communicate healthier boundaries and feel more emotionally secure and in control.
Where appropriate, clients also receive a personalised therapeutic recording to reinforce the work completed during their session and support continued change between sessions.
Alongside my one-to-one practice, I have developed a strong professional interest in raising awareness of PMDD and creating supportive spaces where women can feel understood rather than judged for the emotional and behavioural changes they experience. I have facilitated PMDD support groups, providing opportunities for women to share experiences, learn practical emotional-regulation strategies and understand the relationship between hormonal sensitivity, stress and emotional wellbeing.
My wider hypnotherapy practice includes anxiety, depression, confidence and self-esteem, trauma and childhood experiences, body image and emotional eating, relationship difficulties, grief, insomnia, phobias, public-speaking anxiety, burnout and emotional overwhelm. This broader experience is particularly valuable in PMDD work because many clients present with overlapping emotional difficulties that become more pronounced during the premenstrual phase.
I work in a compassionate, non-judgemental and individualised way, recognising that PMDD is a complex condition and that hypnotherapy should complement, rather than replace, appropriate medical assessment and treatment. My aim is to help women understand their emotional patterns, develop practical tools for regulating their responses and build a more compassionate and empowered relationship with themselves throughout their cycle.
