About me
I am a highly experienced therapist using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Mindfulness and Coaching to create a goal oriented, dynamic, interactive approach to helping clients achieve their aims. My individually tailored programs enable clients to experience rapid, positive changes, reducing the number of overall visits required.
For the past few years my practice has developed and much of my work is around anxiety disorders and all related issues, panic attacks, insomnia, confidence building, depression, low moods, anger etc. I have a robust and well rounded understanding of integrating complimentary and allopathic treatments together. My approach is truly holistic and often my clients not only get what they came for but leave with a better understanding of their health overall.
My speciality is in Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) which sits under the umbrella of CBT. The benefit of REBT is that it enables me to quickly identify deeply held beliefs that are maintaining negative and unhelpful thinking and behaviours. If deeply held negative beliefs are not addressed, every time someone is in a ‘trigger situation’ they are likely to relapse into old habits, patterns of thinking and behaviour.
What happens in a session?
After discussing the issues and challenges you wish to address in some depth and identifying your core beliefs, with your permission I then use the relaxation technique of hypnosis to help embed new ways of thinking at a deep, unconscious level. Clients find that this enables the changes to take place faster with far reaching and long lasting effects.
The most important element of my approach is that, by the end of your treatment, you will have the knowledge to be able to apply these techniques to all others areas of your life. My aim is to empower you and give you tools that will last a lifetime.

Member organisations
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
