About me
My name is Elaine and I’m a qualified solution focused based hypnotherapist, having studied with the Clifton Practice hypnotherapy at York University.
Hypnotherapy can help with anxiety, depression, stress, confidence building, post traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, coping with bereavement, sports performance, weight management, pain management, phobias, blushing, nail biting, obsessive compulsive disorder and so much more.
At the free initial consultation, I will email you a recording of the trance to listen to when you go to bed. This helps to become accustomed to my voice and hypnotherapy.
I also explain how solution focused hypnotherapy works and answer any questions.that you may have.

All clients receive a recording of the trance to help them become accustomed to my voice and hypnotherapy.

Let’s have a look at the brain.
Firstly, the conscious part that interacts with the world, it is attached to a vast intellectual resource the intellectual mind. This is the part we don’t share with other animals. We generally get things right in our life when we think in this part of our brain. It always comes up with answers based on a proper assessment of the situation and is generally very positive.
The primitive part of the brain which is the centre and influential bit of the brain is called the amygdala. This is referred to as the fight, flight, depression area of the brain. It is associated with two other very primitive parts, the hippocampus which holds all our primitive and sometimes inappropriate behavioural experiences and patterns, and the hypothalamus which regulates chemical responses in our body and mind.
When you go into a trance under hypnosis you will be thinking from the intellectual part of your brain which results in positive interactions, positive actions and positive thoughts.
