About me
Christopher Wood is a semi-retired secondary school teacher with a diploma in hypnotherapy from the Hampshire School of Hypnotherapy. Based in Hampshire, Chris runs a practice at the Hamblin Centre in Bosham, West Sussex, and in Guildford Surrey, and also provides a visiting service. He works with people of all ages, but has particular experience in working with young people. Chris uses counselling, NLP and hypnotic techniques to help clients overcome anxiety issues for example, and to improve performance at college, or in the workplace.

- HSOH: Diploma Hypnotherapy
- MBPsS
- Counselling: Certificate
- MSc/PGCE: Education.
Member organisations
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Working for over 35 years in secondary schools, Chris has a wide range of experience dealing with pastoral issues confronting young people. Happy to work with all ages, Chris has also volunteered as a prison visitor, youth club leader and digital learning facilitator.
