About me

I am an Advanced senior qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist/ Psychotherapist and NLP practitioner, specialising in all aspect of psychotherapy/hypnotherapy. I work with clients on a wide range of issues on a one-to-one basis and I am dedicated to helping each individual achieve his or her desired goals. My main goal is helping people to recognize their full potential. I incorporate elements from different schools of psychotherapy including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, tailored to meet your specific needs and concerns.

Registration at Senior Practitioner status is only available to a GHSC practitioner who has met the strict criteria and who has been in continual practice for a minimum of 5 years awarding the GHSC award of Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (SQHP)

I am a leading Hypnotherapist/Psychotherapist who works at respected clinics across the UK. I specialize in helping clients to deal with Anxiety disorders, Addictions, Weight Management and aggression. I am a registered practitioner with the National Council of Psychotherapists, The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council and the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council with whom I'm a Local Champion, promoting safe practice and codes of ethics. I am also registered with Anxiety UK as an Anxiety UK approved therapist.

I am the wellbeing columnist for 24seven Lifestyle Magazine. I write monthly articles on health and wellbeing. The magazine is available from all large supermarkets across East Yorkshire.

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council

The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.

In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.

A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

GHR

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
