About me

Many people feel there is something in their lives holding them back from being their best selves. It might be a fear, phobia, habit or attitude. My approach includes using some of the most highly regarded hypnotherapeutic techniques as well as tapping into the wealth of resources you have to make the changes you want.

Hypnotherapy is a brief therapy which means that most issues are resolved in 1 to 4 sessions. My stop smoking is a slight exception in that I aim to help you stop in a single 2 hour session with a free follow-up session you can take with 3 months if necessary.

Training, qualifications & experience

I originally trained at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis - one of the most highly regarded - in 2000 where I completed a Diploma and Practitioner's Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis. Subsequent to that, I have completed a number of professional development trainings including additional specific training for stopping smoking, the Rewind Technique for dealing with phobias and trauma and most recently the very fine Precision Hypnosis course by Uncommon Knowledge on using conversational hypnosis.

I am also a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register.

As a hypnotherapist for the past 18 years, I have worked with a wide range of concerns because hypnotherapy lends itself to working with those issues people may have had difficulty resolving any other way.

GHR

The General Hypnotherapy Register

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Information about health conditions (*)

Nutritional therapy can help enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting nutritional therapy or making any major changes to your diet or lifestyle.

Unwanted habits including nailbiting

Fees

  • A single session of hypnotherapy lasting approximately 75minutes costs £85.
  • Stop Smoking treatment costs £240 and includes a 2-hour session and the possibility of taking a follow-up session within 3 months of that if needed.

Further information

You may be unsure whether hypnotherapy can help you. You may be nervous about discussing your concerns with a stranger. With this in mind, you are very welcome to call me before committing to any treatment.

It is always important to feel comfortable with your therapist and any good therapist will be happy to speak with you on the phone before you decide whether or not to work with them.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
