About me

Thank you for looking at my profile – the fact that you are here tells me that you’re finding something challenging and are looking for someone to understand, help you make sense of things and make changes.  I'm Candy, I’m a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and I will work with you to help you overcome the obstacles you’re facing so that you can thrive and live the way you want to.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help to reduce your stress and anxiety, help you sleep better and regain your confidence and energy. It is an approach that combines Psychotherapy techniques with Hypnosis, using a combination of ‘talking therapy’ and a deep state of relaxation (trance) to access your subconscious mind and make changes. It emphasises your unique strengths and resources, focusing on solutions rather than problems. Most clients find the sessions relaxing and enjoyable.

Research supports the use of Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy in managing stress and anxiety, helping people to reduce negative thought patterns, and develop coping strategies, all within a deeply relaxed state. Studies have shown the success of this approach in treating a range of conditions, from depression and anxiety to behavioural issues and chronic pain.

I am also a Blast Technique Practitioner, and use this ground-breaking technique to help clients process unresolved Trauma and negative experiences.

How I work:

Our first full session would be an initial consultation, where we get to know one another. I will gather information from you to gain an understanding of the issues you’re facing, and how this is impacting your life. During this session I also explain a little about how our brains work and why this is important to understand. This information is invaluable in helping you to understand why you feel the way you do. I also offer a short trance session at this consultation so that you leave feeling calm and relaxed, and know what hypnosis feels like.

After this each session follows a pattern; we will focus on what’s going well, and look at how this might get even better, working together to help you to identify what you’d like to achieve. I may bring in other techniques from time to time, with your agreement to support you to make the changes you want to.

Each session includes a trance session of 20 – 30 minutes which is tailored to your needs. You will receive a hypnosis track to listen to between each session which will help you reach your goals as quickly as possible.

I offer a free 15 minute consultation so that you can speak to me and decide if I’m the right fit for you.

I hold Diplomas in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy from the Solution Focused Training Academy and the National Council for Hypnotherapy. I am a member of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, the National council for Hypnotherapy and the and Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. I hold a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, and am also a qualified and experienced coach, with a Coaching Diploma from Newcastle College.
