If you’re feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, caught in patterns that keep repeating, or are simply ready for something to change… you’re not alone.
Many people come to hypnotherapy when they’re tired of feeling a certain way, ending up in the same place, or knowing they want more but feeling unsure where to start. You may have already tried to make changes, only to feel frustrated when you struggle to maintain momentum or find yourself falling back into familiar habits, thoughts or emotional patterns.
Hypnotherapy can be particularly helpful when part of you knows what you “should” be doing, but another part still feels held back. It can support change at a deeper level, helping you shift the patterns beneath the surface so you can begin thinking, feeling and responding in a different way.
You don’t need to feel confident, certain, or have everything figured out. But if you’re ready for things to feel different, that’s enough to begin.

I’m Joanne, and I’m a Master Clinical Hypnotherapist, specialising in helping people break free from patterns that feel difficult to change through willpower or conscious effort alone.
I’m also a Master Transformational Coach, so I can combine hypnotherapy with other powerful therapeutic approaches including NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques/Tapping), NNRT (Negative Neuro-Pathway Reversal Therapy) and life coaching to support deeper, more lasting change.

Hypnotherapy can be used to support a wide range of issues, particularly where patterns feel difficult to change through thinking alone.

You remain fully aware and in control throughout hypnotherapy, and most people experience it as a deeply relaxing and positive process. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and we work together throughout.

What makes my approach different
I am a highly qualified Master Hypnotherapist and I create deeply personalised and carefully structured hypnotherapy sessions tailored specifically to you, rather than using generic scripts. We will discuss your goals together in advance and I will then prepare a powerful, bespoke hypnotherapy session ready for our time together.
In addition to traditional and classic hypnotherapy approaches such as suggestion, in our sessions, I can draw on more advanced approaches such as regression, inner child work or Gestalt Therapy, where appropriate.
Hypnotherapy can be incredibly effective in helping to shift patterns at a subconscious level. And by combining this with additional approaches such as NLP, EFT and NNRT, we can also work with the thoughts, emotions and responses connected to those patterns. This allows us to not only understand what’s been happening, but also to change how it feels and how you respond moving forward.

How we work together
We can focus on hypnotherapy or blend in several approaches, depending on your preferences and what will be most effective for you. Sessions are always tailored to you, creating a personalised and effective therapeutic experience.
Depending on your needs, our sessions may include:
- Hypnotherapy - working with the subconscious mind to create deeper change
- NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) - shifting unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs
- EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques/Tapping) - a gentle somatic (body-based) approach to reduce emotional intensity
- NNRT (Negative Neuro-Pathway Reversal Therapy) - using bilateral eye movement (similar to EMDR) to help process and release stuck emotional patterns
- Life Coaching - creating clarity, direction and practical steps forward
- Breathwork - calming the nervous system and supporting emotional balance

My approach is warm, supportive and non-judgemental… but also empowering. I will meet you where you are, and gently challenge you when needed to help you move forward. I will tailor my approach to meet your needs and personality.
Whether you’re new to hypnotherapy or ready to go deeper, I will guide you at a pace that feels right for you.

Sessions
Sessions are available online, by phone or in person across Dorset (including Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Ferndown and Wimborne).
I offer hypnotherapy sessions either online or in a private therapy room. Online hypnotherapy sessions can be just as effective as in person, allowing you to relax in the comfort of your own space. I also have access to comfortable, private therapy rooms if you prefer to work in person.
When working with my other transformational coaching approaches, I also offer additional flexibility such as walk-and-talk, coaching in nature, and informal settings where appropriate.
I work with adults and young clients 16+ and offer a free, no-obligation discovery call so we can explore what you’re looking for help with and whether my approach feels like the right fit.

Member organisations
The British Association of Therapeutical Hypnotists (BAThH) was the first constituted body for Professional Hypnotherapists in the UK and a founder member of the United Kingdom Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO).
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level. All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

I typically recommend a series of sessions, as meaningful and lasting change often develops over time rather than in a single session.
While everyone is different, many clients find that working together over several sessions allows us to explore the root of a pattern and begin embedding new, more helpful responses. This approach allows us to build momentum and create more sustainable change, rather than relying on short-term results.
I offer a discounted rate per session with packages. Payment plans are also available to help make these more accessible.
