Why Train With AISR?

The Academy for International Science and Research (AISR) is an award-winning international centre of excellence for Science, Technology, Education and Mental Health.

AISR is Northern Ireland’s first independent STEM Institute in the historic walled city of Derry/Londonderry. Our campus offers vocational qualifications in:

• Neuro Hypnotherapy
• Neuro-Linguistic Psychology
• Transformative Coaching and
• Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), levels 1 and 2

These courses and services are offered as part of the Academy's mental health remit, which we offer to the highest standards (technical professional level).

We also offer courses in Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, teacher training, and the broader STEM areas of business, education, and digital media. We see our background in the technical disciplines as a strength when we deliver our mental health services.

We are currently developing a mental health app to help young people unlock their resilience to cope better with society. We offer our mental health services and courses to international students, school leavers, corporate organisations, and those seeking professional qualifications for career progression in Hypnotherapy, Neurolinguistic Psychology (NLP), and the 3 Principles.

We also provide innovative mental health clubs for young children, encouraging the importance of maintaining healthy thinking. We also use guided therapy with troubled kids of all ages.

Our Hypnotherapy Qualification

The academy also offers diplomas in hypnotherapy, recognised by the Hypnotherapy Directory. These diplomas require 500 hours of learning, 120 of which are face-to-face or live Zoom calls, 165 hours of Directed Learning, and 215 hours of Independent Learning, one weekend per month over 10 months.

All the hypnotherapy techniques have been redesigned to be effectively taught through Zoom, Skype or Google Meet. 

Dr. Terry McIvor will host the classes on Zoom for those who want to practice Hypnosis and Neurohypnotherapy as a career. As a student, you will be part of a dynamic class. You will have the ability to ask questions and practice techniques with your peers, live and interactively. You will also have full access for life to all the training sessions.

Dr. Terry McIvor

A distinguished authority in Hypnotherapy, NLP, and Coaching; he is also an expert in neuroscience therapy, currently serving as the Chair of Psychology at Manipur International University and a Senior Fellow in Mental Health and Personalized Treatment at the same institution. Also known as "The Synaptic Trainer," Dr McIvor specializes in synaptic plasticity and its applications in Neurotherapy.

He holds a PhD in Science Education and a Master’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Neuroscience and Psychiatric Applications, which equips him with a deep understanding of brain function and its impact on mental health. His pioneering research and practical applications have positioned him as a leading figure in the field, particularly in integrating neuroscience and hypnotherapy.

As an advocate for Neurohypnotherapy, Dr. McIvor has developed innovative techniques that combine traditional hypnotherapy with the latest neuroscience research. His approach emphasizes understanding neuroplasticity to enhance cognitive function and emotional resilience.

Dr. McIvor’s work extends beyond academia into clinical practice, where he has trained numerous therapists in effective Neurohypnotherapy protocols. His contributions to scientific articles and international conferences further cement his reputation as a visionary leader, driving forward the field of mental health treatment with a personalized and brain-based approach.

The Academy offers its hypnotherapy diplomas through our faculty called the Sales Doctor- Mindset and Resilience. It was named this because we initially helped entrepreneurs and salespeople. However, we have expanded our service provision to include professionals and lay people from all walks of life.

Dr McIvor is a transformative coach practitioner, EFT practitioner, life coach, certified clinical hypnotherapist, trainer, and NLP trainer. He is also a Master Trainer of Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis for the International Association of Counsellors and Therapists (IACT) and the Dave Elman Institute. 

He is also the CEO of the Sales Doctor Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Psychology Clinic, helping entrepreneurs, salespeople, professionals, and laypeople develop emotional resilience. He coaches them on how to be strong and calm to reach the success they dream of. No matter what situations his clients find themselves in, he can provide valuable guidance. 

Specialising in helping professionals and lay people who struggle with performance issues and who wish to become powerful. He also works with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, limiting beliefs, and phobias. Terence has been trained and mentored by esteemed hypnotherapists, NLP trainers and 3 Principles teachers at the top of their game including David Key, Michael Watson, Mike Mandel, Dr. Steve G. Jones, Dr. Richard Nongard, and Cheryl and Larry Elman, to name but a few. He founded the Sales Doctor Hypnotherapy and NeuroPsychology Clinic to provide powerful therapies and treatments. 

Dr McIvor founded the International  Guild of NLP and Hypnotherapy Practitioners and Trainers. The guild is a professional organisation composed of a committee of dedicated individuals committed to advancing the field of NLP, Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, and 3 Principles of coaching and teaching.

He has presented at the Master's Hypnosis Summit 2021, which was organised by Eugen Popa and had some of the top hypnotists and hypnotherapists in the world presenting, such as Mike Mandel, Dr Steve G Jones, Bob Burns, Antony Reed, Karl Smith, and Freddy Jacquin.

He is also an executive contributor to Brainz Magazine and was selected by Brainz Magazine as one of their 500 Companies and Influential Leaders recognised for his entrepreneurial success, achievements, and dedication to helping others.

Additionally, his clinic researches all areas of hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic psychology to create even better treatments and approaches.
