I am an experienced clinical hypnotherapist, treating a wide range of psychological problems from anxiety to performance enhancement and insomnia. Sessions are held at the client’s pace and will always be driven towards solutions, focusing on positive results.
I specialise in working with addictions. I have helped many people manage their unwanted or uncontrolled habits, whether that is drugs and alcohol or behaviours such as gambling and shopping or simply smoking cigarettes.
Teenagers are facing more pressure than ever these days. Exam and study stress as well as confidence and self esteem are very common problems I work with from around 12 years old.
By combining RECBT (rational emotive cognitive behavioural therapy) with hypnotherapy, I am able to treat complex problems, such as chronic pain and the deeper anxieties and depression disorders that are so common these days.

Standard Fee - £90 per hour
First appointment is usually 2 hours to make sure there is time to take a full history as well as getting started with some hypnosis work
Most single-issue cases are dealt with in 2 - 6 sessions

3 years ago-What a great guy to see. I visited Spencer to deal with my insomnia. I found him easy to speak to and his therapy worked much quicker that I expected. He has a very relaxing air about him and dealt with me professionally and since it worked I thought it very cost effective. I recommend him if you need to get something sorted out.
2 years ago- I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart you really have helped me in many more ways then u may think you have, you’ve instilled a new found confidence in my life and also helped me with my home life witch I could never repay you for, I’ll keep our convocations close to my heart and will always refer back to them when I find myself straying in the wrong direction. 2 years ago I’d gone to see Spencer ahead of a trip to Brazil – my fear of flying was seriously dampening my excitement for what promised to be an amazing two-week holiday. While this phobia was relatively new, it was really affecting my ability to travel, so I knew I had to do something about it. I’d never tried hypnotherapy before, but Spencer came highly recommended – and I really trusted him from the moment we first met. He’s kind and reassuring, and I was impressed by his passion and approach. After just two sessions, I was ready to enjoy my holiday. And in the days leading up to the flight to Brazil, I didn’t feel any of the dread I’d previously had. In fact, what I was feeling when I arrived at the airport was excitement, not nerves.
