About me
When you feel stuck...
Sometimes you know exactly why you feel or respond the way you do. Sometimes you don't. What you do know is that something keeps repeating: a reaction, relationship pattern, fear, habit or inner conflict - and despite your best efforts, you haven't been able to shift it.
I work with people who feel caught in patterns that have become difficult to shift and want to get beneath what is happening rather than just coping with it. This might show up as anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, trauma responses, fears, habits or a sense of being blocked from moving forward.
Whatever it is, together we explore what is keeping you stuck and work towards changing it at a deeper level than willpower or conscious effort alone.
A deeper, integrative approach
My work combines clinical hypnotherapy with depth-oriented therapy, parts work and somatic approaches, so we can look beyond the surface of a problem.
This means paying attention not only to what you consciously think and feel, but also to the emotional, subconscious and body-based patterns that may be keeping something in place.
I don’t use a one-size-fits-all script or assume that the symptom you arrive with is the whole story. I’m interested in what sits underneath a difficulty and what needs to shift for something different to become possible for you.
Working together
My style is warm, engaged and collaborative. I work particularly well with people who are curious about themselves, want to understand what is happening beneath the surface, and are looking for meaningful change rather than simply managing symptoms.
Training, qualifications & experience
My training reflects the way I work with people: with curiosity about the whole person, not just the difficulty that brought you here.

Member organisations
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy. In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers. A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members. There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What sessions can look like
Sessions are shaped around you rather than around a fixed protocol. Depending on what we are working with, we might move between conversation, hypnosis, imagery, parts work and attention to what is happening in the body.
Hypnosis can be particularly useful when you know what you want to change, but find that something in you continues to respond in the same old way.
You don't need to know in advance whether you need hypnotherapy, therapy or a particular approach. We can work that out together.
If you're wondering if this approach might be right for you, I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation.
