About me

I have gained a post-gradate certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and feel that it is important to have gained a recognised qualification with an reputable college in developing excellent clinical skills built on an academic foundation.

Since qualifying I have gained an additional qualification as a hypnobirther and a member of The Hypnobirthing Association, the courses I run offer a full antenatal training which is simple. logical and profound. It releases peoples fears and builds confidence enabling couples to have a positive mental attitude which transforms the experience of pregnancy and birth.

Having worked for nearly 30 years in the NHS as an Occupational Therapist in Mental Health I am aware of how emotional well-being has an impact on peoples lives, as a clinician I recognise the importance of establishing rapport, safety and listening to individuals needs and at all times working professionally within our codes of conduct.

TESTIMONALS

'Having received notification of an invasive medical procedure I made an appointment with Philippa for hypnotherapy based relaxation techniques. I managed the medical procedure without any discomfort and felt at ease throughout. I received a CD to practice my technique at home and found Philippa's reassuring words enabled me to have the procedure without worry.
Philippa is a professional, competent, warm person and I can whole heartedly recommend her to anyone having concerns or worries about a health or life event.'

'I first came into contact with Philippa after about 44 years of suffering from agrophobia and associated social phobia, after weekly sessions I am now 90% independent and in control of my life again and whatever I want to do is now possible. Philippa has given back to me my freedom and independence without sounding 'over the top' without Philippa's help and support I would not have the the life, freedom, independence and "looking forward to the future" that I have now, thank you.
