About me

I specialise in Smoking Cessation, Anxiety, Stress, Cancer support, Phobias and Habits.  All other issues can be covered too.

Methods used include Clinical Hypnosis, NLP, Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, EFT, Mindfulness and Life coaching.

My sessions last from one to two hours, including consultation and treatment.  They are completely confidential and are carried out in a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I comply with the codes of practice laid down by the professional organisations I am registered with.

I firmly believe in the connectivity of the mind and body and how a positive attitude and belief has a huge impact on a person's health and wellbeing.  I take a holistic approach in considering all aspects of the problems presented in order to identify the root cause, not just the symptom.

What you think, about yourself, your circumstances, your relationships, and your view of the world in general, can have a direct impact on your emotions, beliefs and behaviour and impact on your health.  Your subconscious is responsible for many of your habits, phobias and beliefs, storing away things picked up from parents, education, friends, experience and the media, many of which can have a limiting effect on the way you think.  My aim is to correct those limiting beliefs, where necessary, and regain your health and wellbeing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a retired IT Project Manager, where I was trained in Counselling and Life Coaching to help deal with the personal and work related problems of my staff.

I qualified with a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and NLP in 2004 at ICH (Institute of Clinical Hypnosis) at King's College in London.

Since then I have been working in Orpington and London and have successfully treated hundreds of people of all ages with a wide range of issues.

I attend regular seminars and workshops for Continuous Professional Development and am a regular attendee of The James Braid Hypnotherapy Society meetings in London.

I am a registered member of GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register) and the BSIO (British Society for Integrative Oncology).

Member organisations

GHR
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)

Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
