About me

Hello - chances are you are a busy professional who just wants to know if I can help you, so here it is, this is what I do:

I use hypnotherapy to help busy professionals who feel stuck and overwhelmed to quickly clear stress, anxiety, fear and/or trauma, this means they can  get on with their life feeling calmer, more confident and clear about their next steps.

It is not always easy to think about working with a therapist - let's face it, we often 'downplay' our own issues and think that we don't need help or support because we are supposed to be the strong people: the strong friend who everyone turns to, the sibling whom every one expects to mediate family arguments and sort family visits, the managers whom everyone gravitates to because you sort their stress at work,  the business owners working seven days a week...that's before we even factor in our friends,  families, partners and pets.

You're probably a great listener, everyone says how strong you are, it's just sometimes you don't feel there's any of 'you' left. You're most likely an 'over achiever' who needs to feel you have done the best you can do and then some. You're possible a bit of an 'empath' absorbing the emotions of others to such an extent that you feel like an emotional sponge at times. You may feel 'stuck' in a life issue and feel there's no one you know with the impartial skill set to help you get 'unstuck'  - you're strong but at the moment, life feels overwhelming.

As I discovered, strong people can give too much of their energy, time and emotional support to others. In my experience, it is often the strongest people who are left depleted, fearful or lost in a minefield of confusion about how to get some support for themselves. When we give too much, we can put ourselves at the bottom of a the list, we can forget to take care of our own mental & physical well being.

So please, just stop for a moment, grab a cuppa and take some  'you time' to find out whether hypnotherapy could be the solution you need.

My name is Julie Phillips and following a period in my life as a teacher and Head of Department where I burnt out completely through stress, I decided to change my career path and went to therapy training school instead!

People  work with me when they feel stuck or when trauma and stress from past  life events becomes overwhelming. People who are experiencing high levels of anxiety are often worrying about 'future life' events or possibilities that things will go wrong. Memories from the past and worries about the future are a toxic mix of potential stress triggers which can keep you stuck in a state of fear and confusion. This kind of thinking can stop you in your tracks and, if left to spiral out of control can get in the way of you moving on with your life.

I help people clear the mind clutter with hypnotherapy so that they feel calmer, stronger, and happier again.  After just one session you can  learn exactly how wonderful  it is to rediscover a calmer mind, to regain your emotional resilience and press the 'factory reset button' on your life so that you can make decisions with clarity and confidence.

Clients choose me because:

  • They want to learn how to release themselves from stress and anxiety, they are often exhausted with how they feel and don't want to keep talking or thinking about it.
  • They feel stuck and want to feel better quickly to get on with their lives.
  • They are often professional people who want to keep their mental health matters private.
  • They understand the importance of investing in their own mental health and well being.
  • They know deep down that there is no one in their network of friends, family or colleagues whom they would really trust to help them or feel comfortable sharing their issues with.
  • They want an independent, down to earth therapist  who will help them get straight to the point, clear away the mind clutter and support them in finding solutions to their next steps in life.

Therapeutic Coaching uses hypnotherapy, it is a  gentle yet powerful way of making lasting changes quickly. First sessions last between 90 minute and 2 hours and follow up sessions last between 60 and 90 minutes.

By all means, send me an email to find out more. Please note that  before you book, I like to speak with you on the phone so that we can make sure I am the right person with the right therapy to suit your needs - this is important and we can't skip this step! I will phone you at a time to suit.

After the session I provide hypnotherapy audio recordings and crib sheets to  help you recreate the strategies you have learned during your session/s.
