About me

I use hypnotherapy to help people who feel stuck and overwhelmed to quickly clear stress, anxiety, fear and/or trauma, this means they can  get on with their life feeling calmer, more confident and clear about their next steps.

In addition, I work with clients who have IBS and may also have significant anxiety around finding a toilet if asked to travel for work or to socialise with friends. I understand this anxiety.

It is not always easy to take the first steps to work with a therapist - we may feel embarrassed and 'downplay'  issues.  Sometimes we don't seek help because we feel that we are  supposed to be the strong people: the strong friend who everyone turns to, the sibling whom every one expects to mediate family arguments.  Perhaps everyone just assumes that you are coping with life but you feel it's all getting too much .  You may feel 'stuck' and unsure about what to do for the best.

In my experience, it is often the strongest people who are left depleted, fearful or lost  about how to get some support for themselves.

My name is Julie Phillips, in my former life, I was a  full time English teacher and Head of Department for Special Needs at a secondary school in North Yorkshire. Unfortunately, I did not know who to manage my stress.  I suffered from IBS and insomnia. For the sake of my health and wellbeing, I decided to change my career path and now work as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and stress coach.

People  work with me when they feel stuck or when trauma and stress from past  life events becomes overwhelming. People who are experiencing high levels of anxiety are often worrying about 'future life' events or possibilities that things will go wrong.

I help people reduce stress and trauma quickly with hypnotherapy so that they feel calmer, stronger, and happier again.  I also work with people who have been diagnosed IBS or feel they have symptoms of IBS.

I offer both face to face and on line or phone sessions.

Clients choose me because:

  • They want to learn how to release themselves from stress and anxiety, they are often exhausted with how they feel and don't want to keep talking or thinking about it.
  • They feel stuck and want to feel better quickly to get on with their lives.
  • They understand the importance of investing in their own mental health and well being.
  • They know deep down that there is no one in their network of friends, family or colleagues whom they would really trust to help them or feel comfortable sharing their issues with.
  • They want to reduce anxiety around a specific area such as IBS symptoms
  • By all means, send me an email to find out more. Please note that  before you book, I like to speak with you on the phone so that we can make sure I am the right person with the right therapy to suit your needs - this is important and we can't skip this step! I will phone you at a time to suit.

After the session I provide hypnotherapy audio recordings and crib sheets to  help you recreate the strategies you have learned during your session/s.

I can work on line or you can come to my office in Stokesley, North Yorkshires which is fully Covid 19 Secure. This therapy does not involve physical contact.

If you are ready to find out more, do email via the Hypnotherapy Directory contact service, you can email  julie@juliephillips-therapeutic-coaching.co.uk or via the messenger app on my Face Book Page Julie Phillips Therapeutic Coaching.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.
