Hypnotherapy for impotence
When a man has impotence it can lead to a whole host of negative feelings including reduced self-esteem and a sense of hopelessness. Impotence can also lead to embarrassment and feelings of guilt which could have an adverse effect on relationships. It’s important to know that impotence is very common and that there is help at hand.
In order to get the best help available it’s helpful to know whether the impotence has a mental or physical cause. More often than not, impotence is a mental problem and to find out you could ask yourself the following questions:
Do you get an erection while sleeping?
If you do get an erection while sleeping, your impotence may be mental and you should consult with your hypnotherapist. If you don’t get an erection while sleeping, it’s likely a physical condition and you should consult with your physician.
Do you get an erection while masturbating?
If you can become aroused while you’re alone, your problem is probably mental and not physical and you should visit your hypnotherapist. If you’re unable to become aroused while alone, the problem may be physical and you should visit your physician.
If you still aren't sure having answered the questions, or if you’re concerned that the problem may be both a physical and emotional concern, you should visit your physician first. If your physician can’t find a physical cause for your impotence, it’s probably mental in nature. Hypnotherapy could help you to deal with the condition effectively and you should visit your hypnotherapist.
According to the British Journal of Urology, hypnotherapy helped to improve the sexual function of men with non-organic impotence at a rate of 80%. Hypnotherapy outperformed both testosterone and trazodone when dealing with non-organic impotence.
The Scandinavian Journal of Urology and Nephrology also agreed that hypnotherapy is effective when treating impotence that couldn't be linked to physical causes. In a trial it was reported that hypnotherapy helped three out of every four men on the trial.
