Hypnotherapy for anxiety - Harder than you ‘thought’? Easier than you ‘think’
The human psyche is an area of psychology that has puzzled many scientists over the years. Many scientists have devised experiments and theories that aim to understand the human psyche. Sad to say, however, is that all of them failed to fully explain how the human psyche works. The only conclusion that they could come up with is that unconscious behaviour plays a huge part on the conscious behaviour of an individual.
Unconscious behaviour is defined as behaviour that is automatically triggered without any stimuli. This includes addictions, anxieties and cravings to name a few. The main reason behind unconscious behaviour can often relate back to many years previous whereby certain events triggered the behaviour.
Unconscious behaviour affects our conscious behaviour because it sets an uncontrollable standard or ground for our emotions. This “ground” tells our conscious behaviour how we should react under certain circumstances. The conclusion that can be gathered is that it is uncontrollable because the “ground” cannot be removed or changed using conscious methods.
There is however, an unconscious method that can be delivered through the use of hypnotherapy for anxiety.
Hypnotherapy deals with the human psyche and can therefore detect, isolate, change, and/or remove these triggers depending on a person’s preference. Hypnotherapy should always be carried out by a licensed hypnotherapist in a hypnotherapy clinic. In this process, the hypnotherapist first goes through an extensive face to face information gathering process to understand the client.
The hypnotherapist with permission, will then enter the person’s psyche and find out the root cause of these behaviours. The hypnotherapist will isolate these causes and either alter them or purge them so that the individual will have a better, anxiety free life. In this way, the individual will have full control and understanding of his/her conscious behaviour.
