There are so many ways to be Rich! There are so many ways to be successful! So many ways to be happy!
Most of us think of rich and successful people as having lots of money, and perhaps being famous. Perhaps most of all, we think that having access to lots of money would give us more choice, more control over our lives. We would be able to spend our time in any way we choose.
However if we really stop to think, perhaps it is not the money we crave, but the control. Some of us think that it would be great to be able to shop all day! But would you really enjoy it for more than a few days? If you really shopped all day, you would have no time to appreciate or even look at your goods properly. How much nicer it would be to have the occasional splurge… perhaps include lunch with a friend, buy a few gifts for other people and generally relax. Nothing makes you feel as good as treating your friends and family once in a while.
Some say you can’t have too much of a good thing, but if you sat around and ate chocolate all day, you would soon feel sick! You would not be very impressed with the effects on your figure either!
If you stayed in bed all day, you would soon get bored and restless.
Some of us dream of going on holiday all the time! But if you were always away, wouldn’t you miss your family? You may think you would be able to take them all with you. In practice this rarely works. They have jobs, children, and lives. They might not be available to go with you. So you see you CAN have too much of a good thing!

See things through a happy person’s eyes. Nature’s gifts are all around us. It’s easy to notice the blue sky and the warm sun, but the dark skies can be beautiful too.
