For many people desperate to shed those pounds, they will most likely try the latest fad diet which normally consists of buying an expensive product to either supplement or replace their meals. They spend millions every year on clever marketing ploys, encouraging you to buy their own products which are normally two or three times the price of other makes, simply by emphasising that their biscuit for example ‘only’ has 5% fat. That word ‘only’ and the fact that it is being promoted by the very company you are paying to help you reach your target weight, means you assume it will aid you in your weight reduction. Yet, a similar biscuit not marketed as a diet product, often has less fat or calories.
