The way that we think has such a powerful effect upon our life’s experiences, and whatever the problem is that you have in mind as you read these notes, the underlying cause is often the same: a pattern of thinking that you don’t want or need which has just got stuck. ‘Being stuck’: it may be a habit such as smoking, it may be a difficult or painful memory of something from a long time ago, or not being able to sleep, or maybe a fear of doing something that you’d love to or need to do, of changing something, or panic attacks…the possibilities are endless.
But the great news is that all of this can change when the the underlying patterns of thought change.
There are, of course, many forms of therapy that allow this process of change to happen. However in the years since I started professional practice in 1999 hypnotherapy has become more and more widely recognised as a very safe, comfortable and direct way of allowing this change to happen.
As the experience of being in hypnosis is almost identical to that of day-dreaming, it is something that we all can do. The power of hypnotherapy is that it uses this natural ability to allow ideas for change to sink deeply into the inner mind. As thoughts change at this deeper level problems can be resolved, fears removed, habits changed and a general feeling of well-being increased.
The most common sensations are those of profound relaxation – certainly not asleep or unconscious, and it important to remember that you are always in complete control.
Because clients are always treated with great respect and honesty the whole experience, apart from helping to resolve difficulties, can be both enjoyable and uplifting. Quiet naturally the beautiful and tranquil setting of my practice at Lochussie adds an extra sense of well-being.
The list below details some of the problems that can be treated with hypnosis, and in recent years more and more people are becoming interested in the Past Life Therapy that I also am skilled in.
As indicated on my website I am very happy to offer the opportunity, if you wish, to come and meet me to talk over for while whether what I offer is right for you, or you may prefer to call 01349 861822 to chat about things. There is no charge or commitment if you wish to do this.
It is a great privilege as a professional hypnotherapist, to have helped many clients to resolve difficulties and find a way to be happier in their lives.
