I am an experienced, qualified, insured and registered Psychotherapist / Hypnotherapist working in Eastbourne, helping people overcome issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, phobias and fears, relationship difficulties and low confidence.
Hypnotherapy is a powerful way to make change at an instinctive level that trying to use only the conscious mind or will power alone, often fails to achieve. People vary in their ability to go into trance, but most can achieve a level deep enough to achieve change. Hypnosis is a very pleasant, relaxing experience where you remain in control. Most of the time you remain aware of what is happening and remember it afterwards. Talking treatment can help you change how you think, but hypnosis can also help you change how you feel, making behavioural change easier.
I also use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to reduce negative emotion and pain, and Matrix Re-imprinting to change negative core beliefs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy from Uncommon Knowledge in Brighton, have trained in EFT & Matrix Reimprinting with Karl Dawson, have a Diploma in Performance Coaching, a Certificate in Life Coaching (both from Newcastle College), an NLP Diploma (NLP Excellence), C&G Adult Teaching Certificate, and am registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)
I’ve been working as a therapist, coach and trainer since 2007, and prior to this worked in mental health, and in training, for 12 years. I’m now working part- time.
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
£55.00 per session
Free initial online session
My fees are £55 per hour long sessions. £180 for smoking cessation which is 90 minutes.
When I work
I'm currently doing consultations and appointments online using either FaceTime or Messenger.
I work from a Human Givens approach and use a combination of cognitive and behavioural approaches to help empower clients to achieve the changes they seek. When appropriate, I teach you skills and tools to help you manage stress more effectively and to meet your emotional needs more fully.
At the first session we discuss the problem, then I suggest the form the treatment will take. Some issues, such as a phobia for example may need only 1 or 2 sessions, others will need longer. Some people find it very easy to relax and be open to suggestion from the start, others need longer. Hypnosis helps most people achieve deeper levels of calm, well-being and focus.
