About me

Pamela has been working as a Clinical Hypnotherapist since 2006. She is also a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist. She has memberships with the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH), British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and EMDR Association UK & Ireland.

She initially trained at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH) to gain a practitioner's diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Pamela then studied at Derby University and has been awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Adult Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Her latest study has been with EMDR Extra to hone her skills using Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing, a therapy she had already studied at LCCH and is recognised by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This therapy also works well with anxiety and phobias and Pamela integrates all three techniques in therapy to best serve her patients.

She has experience of counselling and mentoring from her years in corporate man management. Initially she trained as a linguist in the 1980's joining an international hardware company, then continued to work within the IT industry for 20 years primarily as Customer Services Manager and Project Manager. Therefore, Pamela understands the strains and stresses of many aspects of life and now offers a confidential service to help clients deal with a wide variety of issues including Depression, Anxiety & Panic, Phobias, Weight Control, Confidence, Stress & Insomnia, Somatic nervous disorders such as IBS, unwanted habits and addictions, Pain Control, Psycho-sexual problems, Hypnobirthing and much more.

You'll find her friendly approach to therapy will help you to relax and so help to make positive changes to your life and achieve your goals.
