I am a Cognitive Hypnotherapist, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner, Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner, Author and Emotional Brain Training (EBT) coach working in Wimbledon and practising since 2007. I am also a certified Peaceful Parenting Coach.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a modern therapeutic approach that is significantly different from other forms of traditional hypnotherapy. It derives its influence from other past and present psychological techniques whilst remaining at the cutting edge of modern day scientific breakthroughs. Cognitive hypnotherapists use hypnosis, NLP and other techniques in a way that speaks directly to your unconscious mind to assist you in breaking unwanted habits, overcoming personal problems and reconnecting you to your true self - which is full of boundless wisdom and power.
I like to work very holistically, incorporating a number of approaches that I have personally used myself and have found to be very effective. I, therefore, utilise a combination of neuroscience concepts (knowing how the brain stores information and understanding mind/body connections to create new, healthier patterns of thinking and behaving); stress science; NLP tools and strategies; energy work (EFT and visualisation); mindfulness concepts and hypnotic suggestion, to effect the desired changes you are seeking in your life. I, of course, also provide a safe space in which you can just talk and share how you are feeling along with providing you with tools for life that you can use, when needed, in everyday situations.
I believe that there is no one way to treat all of life's problems. Each person has their own unique personality and personal history - including you! Thus, Inner Balance Hypnotherapy sessions are tailored personally to your needs and expectations. Training, qualifications & experience
After years of suffering from anxiety and panic attacks and finding relief from hypnotherapy and NLP, I am passionate about helping people overcome a variety of issues quickly and safely.
I became a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner after completing a rigorous training programme with the internationally recognised Quest Institute. Graduation from Quest and the passing of the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma leads to license from the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH) - a professional membership and regulatory body for qualified hypnotherapists. The NCH ensures that its members adhere to a strict code of ethics and are committed to ongoing professional development. As hypnotherapy is largely unregulated in the UK, it is important to choose a hypnotherapist that is well trained, fully insured, and that is committed to following the rules and regulations of a reputable regulatory body.
I am trained in using Cognitive Hypnotherapy, NLP, EFT, some Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, EBT and am a trained Meditation Teacher.

I thought Gianna was extremely approachable and made me feel instantly comfortable in her company. I think this was essential in me feeling relaxed and therefore ensuring the hypnotherapy was successful. In my case, I was very nervous about getting married and hate being the centre of attention, but Gianna taught me how to turn nervous energy into something good, rather than something that controlled me. I definitely felt that I handled myself better at my wedding than I thought I would and I put this down to my sessions with Gianna. I am continuing to use the techniques I learnt when nervous and will continue to do so.
I saw Gianna for low confidence and anxiety issues. I was feeling really out of sorts, having problems at work in and in my relationship, and was looking for a solution.
