About me

My previous career was that as a medical doctor. I decided to move away from this field due to lack of job satisfaction and the changing environment in the NHS.

I qualified as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist following training at the Clifton Observatory Practice in Plymouth at which I still work one day a week. I thoroughly enjoy my job now and have never had so much job satisfaction in my life.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy concentrates on deep relaxation and is a positive and very effective therapeutic technique in which the natural trance state is used to create positive life changes. It can help with so many conditions including anxiety and stress, depression, low self-esteem, anger, chronic pain, fears and phobias, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, tinnitus, psoriasis, weight management, obsessive thought, sleep problems, concentration and focus, sports performance and many more.

Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy

The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
