About me

Welcome, my name is Victoria Chapman. I am a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and I love what I do as I really like helping each individual client work through their issues and get some clarity on what’s impacting them or holding them back.  It’s important for me to listen and not to label to help you move towards a place where you feel more content, confident and more positive about the future.

I specialise in confidence and anxiety although I also work with a range of issues including depression, fertility stress and overcoming traumas. I have experience working with young people over the age of 15 as well as adults.

Our work together is a partnership and I will do my best to help you feel as secure and comfortable as possible. I appreciate that often we have been carrying these things around for a long time and the prospect of opening up and looking for change is unsettling, for this reason I work at your pace and alter my techniques to meet your needs.

I work online via zoom or from my therapy space located in Wanstead.

I am available for a face to face session in Wanstead on Tuesdays 9.30am - 4.30pm & Saturdays 9.30 - 11.30.

My online appointments are every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday but I am available to answer any questions you have from Monday to Friday.

About Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a practical talking therapy that is evidence based working on your past limiting beliefs, providing you with practical tools to help you in the present and move you to the person you would like to be.  It is not a passive therapy, you will be empowered with tools and activities to do out side our sessions to make as much of an impact as possible.

I use a combination of techniques such as: positive psychology, NLP, Timeline reprocessing, AMDR, EFT and modality work as well as hypnotherapy techniques. Each session is individual and reflects your needs.

What can Cognitive Hypnotherapy help?

Often we think that because we have been carrying this around for so long, things can't change.  This isn’t true, we all have the capability to change who we are and how we deal with things, breaking free of any limiting beliefs that are holding us back personally or professionally.

Often we can’t put our finger on it, we feel stuck. Trapped in bad habits or behaviours which are stifling progress, leaving us frustrated or unhappy. Cognitive Hypnotherapy can help get to the bottom of these and release that feeling.  It works by uncovering our negative beliefs and thoughts linked to the issue and taking the emotion out of them. This then enables us to work towards your ‘solution state’ which is basically how you want to be and how you want to live your life. Providing you with the courage or confidence to grow and develop.

What customer say

"I was a real cynic when it came to techniques to managing stress and building confidence in the workplace, assuming I would just 'get over it'.  The work I did with Victoria completely changed my view on this and the results came immediately after my first few sessions. I remember the great feeling and inner confidence I had when I went back to the workplace and did my next big presentation.  I now feel loads more confident public speaking." - Director at Oracle

"Coaching - Victoria has a real warmth and shows a willingness to explore thoughts and feelings which makes it feel easy to open up… she is both insightful and supportive.  She has a calm and easy manner, and I have come away from sessions with her feeling as though I have really learned something about myself." - Andrea Brighton

"Through my work with Victoria, I was able to explore origins of my unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. We worked together and she taught me various skills and practices, she made recordings that I am able to use and implement in my daily life. I have found this experience really useful, helpful and now have a greater sense on control." Lana - Hackney

"Through my sessions with Victoria I realised that I had a fear of success. Once Victoria helped me shine a light on this I was able to make significant changes to my life. I resigned from a job which made me unhappy and now my new career is going from strength to strength. This process has helped me learn from my past and view it with compassion and empathy rather than resentment and shame.  I can't thank her enough. "  Laura - Hackney
