About me

Do you feel like you have reached your limit, that issues are holding you back or are leaving you exhausted from keeping them in?  Maybe you are feeling stuck, find that you keep repeating the same patterns over and over, or feel as though you are in crisis?  Perhaps your usual coping mechanisms are not working for you any longer?

I have worked with a wide range of issues and conditions from anxiety, smoking cessation and phobias through to traumas (including sexual, racial and legacy), addictions, and weight management as well as increasing self-esteem and confidence.  The depth and breadth of my training means that I am to work with almost every condition and issue, which I am able to do in a solution focused way as well working more open ended.

The likelihood is that if you feel drawn to working with me, I have either been through some similar issue or my experience means that I have the capacity to be able to empathise and support you fully with whatever it is that brings you to therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m a qualified, accredited and insured clinical hypnotherapist having trained and qualified as part of a rigorous master level course of hypnosis and psychotherapy (at one of the longest established and respected hypno-psychotherapy training institutes).   I also have a diploma in counselling skills, enabling me to hold space for you a safe way ensuring that you are seen and heard, and have undertaken a number of specialist trainings including the Internal Family Systems therapeutic approach.

I have worked with the charity Anxiety UK (AUK) supporting individuals with phobias, anxieties and depression and am an AUK approved therapist.  I have also worked with Frontline Therapist and the Awareness Centre, working with inner life conflict and anxiety and the impact of the corona virus through to identity issues, grief & loss, trauma (including incest), addiction and oppression (including cultural and gender).

I work integratively, which means that I am trained in number of different modalities enabling me to tailor my approach to suit you and your circumstances.  I also work intuitively and creatively which means paying attention to hunches, feelings, knowings, dreams and visions etc., in order to understand what is being communicated from the deepest part of you in relation to the issue which has brought you to hypnotherapy.

Sessions are led by you and as we work together, I will support you in meeting your goals by ensuring that you are asked the right questions, accepted without judgement, challenged for who you are and fully supported throughout your healing process.

At the end of our work together you may find that you have developed a deeper sense of awareness, processed wounds and pain, discovered fresh insights into your life and situations and gained access to new resources as you heal old wounds and free up energy.

Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
