I am a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist enjoying helping people regain confidence, achieve high levels of motivation and energy. When we are in the right place, we can overcome anxiety and depression. Previously I worked as a Chartered Accountant and Finance Director for many years. This involved working in highly stressful situations and during that time I saw and experienced the harmful effects modern pressures can place on us all.
I now concentrate on helping people to get control of their life, improve their happiness, and the quality of every day living. Sometimes we come to accept our situations as normal, without knowing how much better life can be. We often live our lives in second gear and we don't have to. We can cruise or race, the choice is yours.
Hypnotherapy will help you overcome your problems, give you direction to achieve your goals, increase your feelings of self worth. You will find you treat yourself better mentally by seeing the good things in life, you will eat and drink better foods and enjoy a more healthy approach to life and better quality sleep. This is my passion. I love working with people, see them recreate the zest for life, being able to achieve more. I trained at the Clifton Practice in Bristol and obtained a Diplopma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP) leading to the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) which is a level IV qualification. The course is accredited with:

I am a fully insured member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy, one of the main professional bodies for hypnotherapy in the UK, and abide by their strict code of ethics. I am a full (Licentiate) member of the NCH and am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNCH). I am also a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits.

Previously I worked as a Chartered Accountant and Company Director and have managed a number of companies with many staff. I am very aware of how important it is to look after the mental attitude and health or everyone. One negative influence can sadly affect many people. It is also very time consuming, managing each and every staff member.
With my understanding of organisations, I have designed a series of positive management training programs which work with both groups and individuals, helping to ease issues such as conflict at work, anger management, depression, stress as well as increasing staff confidence and motivation.
To reduce sick leave, often a product of high levels of depression, anxiety and stress, business and personal problems.
Increase productivity through motivation, self control and happiness at work.
At the first session all participants will be asked to complete a questionnaire, designed and tailored with you, to benchmark staff happiness.
We will record sick leave over the past year, to compare with future sick leave taken.
We will discuss and agree productivity targets based on activity relevant to your business and compare any change made which is a result of the work we do.
This will be tailored to your needs. Usually it will comprise 6 two hour courses held monthly.

The Initial Consultation
You tell me what you want to achieve and improve, what problems or issues you would like to overcome. We will discuss how the therapy can help you and agree your objectives and the process to achieve your aims. This session is £60, with no obligation to continue unless you are confident you will benefit.
At the end of the consultation you will receive a relaxation CD to listen to daily or you can download it now from soundcloud at https://soundcloud.com/user-643479836 to start the change process. If you feel we can work together we will book you in for future sessions.
These will be charged at £60 per session. If I travel to you, an additional fee will be charged for travel time.
How many sessions will I need?
Sessions are usually held weekly and the number you require will depend on the nature of your situation and your own level of motivation. This is brief therapy so benefits will start immediately and will not go on for years.
Smoking is one session and last 1½ to 2 hours and costs £120.
Phobias are four sessions at £60 each.

My practice is located in rooms in centre Sherborne, easy access from Long Street.
All sessions are conducted in a quiet, comfortable room and there are toilet facilities available. I will endeavour to cater for all your needs, to help you be as calm, peaceful and relaxed as possible. If you have special needs, please let me know before so I can prepare as much as possible.
You need only bring yourself, we will discuss your needs during the first consultation. At this point we will agree your objectives and I will let you know exactly what we can achieve. I need you to buy into the process from this point on, so if you feel that we can work together, it is at this point that you would book future sessions.
For the first few weeks will will book weekly sessions. Once you are happy with progress we will move to every two weeks, then monthly until you are happy you have achieved your goals. Depending on the issues anything between four and twelve sessions are usually required. This is brief therapy, so progress is swift. Smoking cessation however, requires just one session.
We will start with a short discussion on what has gone well since the last session, then you will set yourself some targets to help you towards your goals. This takes approximately half an hour. The hypnosis work then starts, you will simply relax and listen to me talking. During this stage, all the ideas and thoughts, verbal or imagined, will be properly process in your mind. You will reset yourself as you wish, to be happy and cope with your life.
You can change and will make great steps towards improving your life. Sometimes we cannot change our circumstance, but we can and will work towards how you think about them. This in turn may well change your circumstances.
This process is unbelievable. If only the Health Service promoted free annual check ups like we are encouraged to do with our dentist, many people would remain in control and live much happier and healthier lives. Sadly many people look after their mental health after problems start to occur or become acute. Many people never experience the benefits.
This is the best investment you can make in yourself and your family.
