Tracey Henstock DIP.CAH PNLP GHR.REG GQHP ~A Positive Approach to Change ~
I like to describe myself as an 'Agent of Change', bringing a grounded approach to our work together. I will work in a collaborative way with you, with the assumption that you are the expert of your own experiences. I am fascinated by the mind and how we can stimulate and strengthen it by reaching inside and creating better mental states to achieve more fulfilling relationships, happiness and a greater inner confidence . I have been working with people just like you in a caring non-judgemental, safe and confidential space, where together we can make significant improvements, enabling you to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
My work is influenced by different psychological models such as Solution Focussed Hypno-Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Mindfulness, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). An advantage of being trained in a range of different models means that I can blend the techniques from these in order to meet your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a highly experienced practitioner in Clinical Hypnotherapy since 2004, and accredited member of the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. I am also experienced in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) since 2008, training at The NLP Academy, recognised as the leading centre for NLP learning, with John Grinder co-creator of NLP and co-creator of New Code NLP.
I have also spent time developing my skills with Richard Bandler co-creator of NLP and world- renowned Hypnotherapist Paul Mckenna. I have many years’ experience working with and practicing Mindfulness and have completed formal training to gain a Mindfulness Now Teacher qualification, which is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) . I am a very experienced Trainer working 1-2-1 and with groups. I am currently studying Hypnotherapy Supervision, once completed this will enable me to supervise other qualified Hypnotherapists.
The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

What to expect
We can either meet in person at my practice in Broomhill, Sheffield or online via zoom
At our first meeting we will develop a joint understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing, we will discuss how we can work together to achieve your desired outcome and approximately how many sessions we will require, which varies for different people and is usually between 3 and 8 sessions. If we decide to go ahead then we will book your next session which is usually be the same time and day each week.
At our first meeting our time will be spent talking, this session does not usually involve hypnosis. The following sessions may involve Hypnosis, NLP, Mindfulness and teaching you techniques that you can use away from our sessions, we will decide this together on our assessment session.
I also offer follow up sessions which can be booked as one off sessions.
