Train Your Mind
37-39 Southgate Street
If you're looking for someone friendly and professional who can provide an effective service then contact me to see if I'm the right person for you.
I have always been interested in how our minds work and the benefits of learning how to master our thoughts. I have a background in Psychology and I am a member of the British Psychological Society.
I am also a professional member of the General Register of Hypnotherapists having trained in evidence-based, cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy. This type of hypnotherapy is based solely on the techniques that have been scientifically shown to be most effective. I combine hypnotherapy with cognitive behavioural therapy, a combination which has been shown to be more effective than either approach by itself
I am also a fully qualified Mindfulness teacher and coach and offer mindfulness training, meditation and also 'ACT'. ACT is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a type of therapy based on mindfulness and your personal values. I also have experience in coaching, mentoring and developing people's skills.
Perhaps more importantly than any of this, I am a very friendly and approachable coach and therapist who offers a professional, effective and confidential service. I believe in ensuring that I give every client what they need and that the professional relationship between me and the people I work with is very important. Because of this I offer a free consultation so that I can find out more about what you are looking for and check it is something I can help you with, and give you an opportunity to decide if I am the right person for you.
I specialise in anxiety and stress and help people to:
- Mange their stress and anxiety (including fears, phobias, social anxiety and public speaking)
- Increase their confidence and self-esteem
- Clarify their values and identify what is most important to them
- Improve their focus and effectiveness at work
- Improve the balance between work and the rest of their life and interests
- Find relief from chronic pain conditions such as arthritis and IBS
- Solve and manage problems
- Tackle insomnia and get a better night's sleep
- Make a career change
I also specialise in:
- Helping members of the LGBT community to build confidence, develop healthy relationships and many other aspects
- Helping runners to achieve their goals, overcome challenges and enjoy their running more (www.runenjoyachieve.com)
- Helping teachers reduce stress and anxiety*
I offer in-person sessions in a fantastic health centre in Bishops Waltham; from a central Winchester location on Southgate Street; and also online via Skype.
Contact me to find out more or to arrange a free consultation.
I look forward to hearing from you.
