I started my working life as an actor. I’ve always been fascinated by the nature of people, what makes us tick, what motivates us, why we behave the way we do. So it’s not surprising that my path has led me to work as a therapist and coach. Today I apply my passion for people and my creativity as part of my work as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist. I started working as a Reiki therapist and trainer over 10 years ago. Several years ago I decided I wanted to add to my skill set and provide a variety of options to suit my clients needs that’s when I discovered Cognitive Hypnotherapy.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy has helped me with my own personal journey in many ways, conquering fears, letting go of those outdated beliefs that held me back, it also helped me to recognize that being myself is the best way to be, allowing me to feel more in control, happier and with more energy to live life to the full.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy completely transformed my life and so my mission is to help you transform your life too. Nothing gives me a greater buzz than to see people enjoying being themselves, being truly happy and creating the best possible life for themselves, hence my strap line “Enjoy Being You.”
About Cognitive Hypnotherapy
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an entirely different approach to therapy and coaching. Whilst there are many components within Cognitive Hypnotherapy taken from various models of therapy, such as hypnosis, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), positive psychology and more. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is more than the sum of its parts, included is a unique hypnotic language technique call WordweavingTM created by Trevor Silvester. This enables me to create hypnotic scripts specific to you, whilst embracing some of the most powerful methods for communicating with your unconscious.
Hypnosis or light trance states are used to help us make a change at an unconscious level. Don't worry these light trance states are not the same as hypnotherapy that you might see on T.V. If you've ever been absorbed in a good book, you've been in the sort of light trance state I'm talking about. You will have complete control at all times during your session, that's important this is an interactive therapy. We want to make a change at an unconscious level because that's where most of our issues lie. The unconscious (out of our awareness) is responsible for 90% of everything we feel, think and do. You may have tried to create changes at a conscious level already and the reason you haven't succeeded is likely to be because the problem isn't rooted in the conscious (what we're aware of) but in the unconscious.
The techniques and approaches contained within this multi-faceted approach helps me to understand you as a whole person, not just the label or problem. As a Cognitive Hypnotherapist, I use specific techniques to understand your way of perceiving and experiencing the world, making the work we do together far more precise and specific to you.
Often when people arrive for their first therapy session, their mind is fixed on their problem. One of the unique elements of Cognitive Hypnotherapy is that we not only look to address the problem but also help you identify a solution, replacing the original problem with something better. It is often the case that clients and therapists don’t consider a positive outcome for their therapy sessions and if you don’t know where you would like to be as a result of therapy, then it is difficult to recognise your achievements. I believe you deserve the best possible experience. So I provide ways to help you recognise and measure the changes you are making towards the positive outcomes that we identify at the very beginning.

Training, qualifications & experience
I studied with The Quest Institute and was privileged to train with the founder of Quest and Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Trevor Silvester. My qualifications include the NCFE approved Cognitive Hypnotherapy Diploma and NLP Master Practitioner Certification. I’m also a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and The Complementary and Natural Heath Care Council. I quickly fell in love with Cognitive Hypnotherapy and it’s unique ability to adapt itself perfectly to each individual that comes to see me.
I’m the editor of a magazine called “Perception – The Cognitive Hypnotherapy Review”. A magazine funded by The Quest Institute as a means to provide you with a vast free resource of articles about numerous topics that people often want help with. I don’t think any other organisation offers a magazine for the public, rather than their therapists, which I find quite exciting.
I love being a part of the Quest community so I often assist on their diploma course as well as running their magazine “Perception”.

Sessions last up to 1 hour and 15 minutes, and fees include any personalized MP3 provided for you between sessions.

I recognize that it takes courage to share your personal thoughts and feelings with me. I admire and respect that courage and honour it by providing a confidential and compassionate service.
In the not too distant future, I plan to run workshops covering areas such as mindfulness meditation, healing and coaching. These are areas that I think everyone can benefit from. I’m currently studying Clinical Nutrition, as I think a real understanding of how the body uses food for maintaining health and appropriate weight will be a huge benefit to those clients with health or weight issues.
Both locations are easily accessible by car or tube. I am available Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Saturday during the day and evenings.
