I am a fully qualified and experienced hypnotherapist and counsellor based in the Sheffield area. My clinic is easily accessed by bus or car and only 15 minutes drive from the M1 motorway.
My specialist areas are weight reduction, virtual gastric band, anxiety, stress, confidence, negative self belief and associated issues. I also have extensive experience in the area of pre and post abortion issues. Please see the section 'Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with' to see the full range of other issues I am experienced in and qualified to work with.
I am both dedicated and passionate about the work I do. Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic tool that both transforms and empowers. I am a great believer that good quality therapy should be available for everyone and for that reason I offer discounted rates for students, low waged and those in receipt of certain state benefits. Therefore, what ever your financial situation, if you think hypnotherapy may be beneficial for you, please contact me. All initial consultations are free with absolutely no obligation to book a follow on appointment.
As well as hypnotherapy, I have a counselling background as a university student counsellor. This gives me extensive experience in dealing with revision and exam stress, anxiety and exam performance as well as other issues that students may experience in their educational life. I work with people of all ages using either pure hypnotherapy or hypno-counselling, which is a unique combination of the two therapies. This enables me to provide tailor made therapy for the individual based on their personality type and personal requirements.

I am registered with the GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register) and CNHC (Complementary and Healthcare Council). I am also a licensed consultant for HypnoSlimmer (www.hypnoslimmer.co.uk).
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
