(above Carr & Neave)
Initially I became interested in helping others when I benefited personally through a difficult time with the help of a hypnotherapist/counsellor enabling me to return to daily life, one day at a time until I could see an improvement in the way I was tackling specific problems. I now try to help promote a sense of well being.
Mainly my work is with individual clients on a one to one basis occasionally seeing couples and families.
Training, qualifications & experience
Ten years ago I trained with Chrysalis in Bournemouth attaining a diploma in hypnotherapy, counselling and psychotherapy.
I have worked in my own practice since then keeping up to date and improving my knowledge through CPD.
Also a local radio station, invited me to speak about how hypnotherapy works generally, then after a couple of interviews talking more about the benefits relating to specific issues.
On a couple of occasions I have been asked to speak at Bournemouth University informing students about hypnotherapy and its uses, how it can be beneficial in improving energy levels.
Working as a volunteer for Victim Support could be challenging, arriving at a victim’s house after they had been abused by another human being, talking with them for an hour, maybe for a few weeks, helping to re-establish their confidence when perhaps they were not able to leave their home, helping them to achieve the same quality of life as they had previously.
