About me

As an NCH Accredited Hypnotherapist and Supervisor, I provide  Face to Face, online and remote therapies.

I specialise in the BQT "STOP SMOKING" technique to get those people who are genuinely wanting to stop smoking to do this in just 60 minutes.

Weight gain, anxiety, increased alcohol consumption, smoking, sleep problems, depression and many compulsive habits and are all impacting on the nations mental and physical health. Hypnotherapist's often meet people when they have tried every other option and the problem remains unchanged. We come across the same concerns of anxiety, stress, panic attacks, depression, fear of flying, over dependence on alcohol, a smoking habit that seems impossible to kick and a whole list of lifestyle issues and concerns, it really doesn't need to be that way. I run a busy private practice and feel passionate about helping people to manage and change the everyday issues that impact on their happiness and well being.

We know NHS is struggling to deal with the volume of referrals and admissions and waiting lists seem to be on static. Hypnotherapy really can help you to make some important changes to your lifestyle. In doing that you break the cycle and that can and will make a difference. Having the right mindset is key. Let me support you with a personal hypnotherapy programme and influence just how you focus your attention. Get rid of those phobias, fears and lack of confidence! Become free of old unwanted behaviours and issues that are holding you back?

I regularly work with clients using remote, online video systems which are secure and simple to use such as: WhatsApp, FaceTime, Messenger, Skype and Zoom. If you haven't tried an online session before, it will be run similar to my face to face sessions, when you're in the comfort of your own home a Hypnotherapy session can be just as effective. Most of us are becoming expert at keeping in contact with family and friends, this is the next step, therapy online.

Take up my offer of a free 30 minute Consultation .... you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Deal with those issues that hold you back NOW !!

HOW I WORK With over 20 years experience of face to face and online sessions, I plan each individual hypnotherapy sessions based on your unique needs and identified goals to create a Personal Support Programme. RECENT CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

  • Working online was so much simpler than I expected. I now have control of my drinking and enjoy rather than relay on alcohol.

  • Losing weight after 12 years of being a Mum and having little time for myself left me 15 lbs lighter, loving being able to wear anything I like. It was simple and with my own recordings I learnt how to make better choices and all during lockdown. Thanks a million Sue
  • Cigarettes were making my asthma much worse, I wish I'd kicked the habit years ago. Thanks Sue.

  • My anxiety is now under control and I'm back to work full time. Many thanks Sue

  • You did what you did, and you do what you do without judgement or criticism. I am in a better place and grown as a person. Thanks for everything and please continue to be as awesome as you are and help others who may be unlucky enough to be suffering.  Sometimes words just aren't enough.    Love and respect, Craig

  • I think you will be thrilled to hear I reached my 200 days of sobriety last week.

Some days are a bit harder than others. I’m ok in small groups but struggle in party situations but I’m sure it will get easier as time goes by.

My body has never healthier and I feel absolutely on top of the world regarding my fitness.

Thanks for all your help in this journey.

    Hilda

  • Having been a very keen sportsman all my life mainly football but also marathon running and golf at the age of 51 I decided enough was enough of football and concentrate on the more sedate pleasure of golf? As I relaxed (no longer having to train aerobically) I started to drink more and enjoy the social side of life. By this time my father had been diagnosed with cancer and combined with watching my hero who had grafted all his life and only had a short retirement the drinking started to get more, by this time it was 5 nights a week.

  • Just over a year a go to the day I’m writing this my dad passed away, mum was still alive but not well so it was her turn to be cared for (my only sister and mum fell out) and so it fell to my shoulders. Now the drinking was 7 nights a week with Saturday and Sunday afternoons the worst. Even though I knew it wasn’t right I couldn’t break the habit. I had no energy and my confidence at work was wobbling. it all came to a head one Sunday when my wife said enough was enough and handed me Sue’s contact details whom she’d found on the internet.

  • I’m writing this the day before my forth visit in 4 weeks I now only have a bottle of wine on a Friday night and 4 cans of lager on a Saturday night.

The energy levels are back, my body is functioning as it should and I’ve even started running again? The golf handicap still hasn’t improved though!!

I’m enjoying my job again the confidence is back.

I no longer crave to call and pick up a drink on the way home.

    Sue I can’t thank you enough !!!!!

  • Just want to say thank you for everything you've done to get me to the place I am today, you have made my life so much better. You've given me my life back, I thought I would never be able to live with my past. You are easy to talk to and made me welcome, I think you are a very special person who gives your all to your work to mend people.

I wish I'd come to see you years ago, I'm such a different person now.

    Thank you so much

    Janet

  • I have stopped smoking and it took 2 sessions, I only wish I had done this years ago. It had affected my health but I am determined to get fit again now I can breath I will never smoke again because I put that money away and we are all going on holiday in November, that's how much I wasted on fags.

    So thanks Sue

  • I have not been able to enjoy life because my anxiety ruined everything for me. I couldn't get the motivation or beyond the fear of normal everyday things. Well now I can and it's down to Sue. My family can't believe the change in me.

    Janet Annesley Woodhouse.

  • My feedback to Sue regarding my marital issues and my lack of confidence in myself.
Hypnotherapy sessions have been very helpful. I now have more confidence in myself and at work and more importantly in my relationship with my partner.  Things were really breaking down between us and when I first came we had been thinking it was over between us. We are getting on better and spending more time together and we both wanted that.

I had some personal issues which were caused by my poor eating habits. Well Sue you have managed something neither my partner or my Mum  have ever been able to do, in 41 years I’ve never eaten or liked fruit or veg till now.

I live a healthier lifestyle and have the confidence to talk about things with my partner openly and we are going on holiday to Tenerife in August for 8 days. My partner was dreading it and now we both can’t wait to go.  Everything seems to be bringing us closer together now. Thank you Sue.

    Simon, Mansfield.

  • Hi Sue I felt totally at ease and relaxed during my first session whilst always feeling in control. I'm not sure what my expectations were for the first session but I certainly didn't feel disappointed and am looking forward greatly to my next session.

To someone who was considering hypnotherapy I would say ' there is nothing to fear and everything to gain'.

Whilst feeling I will have a better judgement after a few more sessions, I am totally willing for my views to be shared. Best regards,

    SC
