About me

My name is Stewart Ashby, a clinical hypnotherapist and also nutritionist of 20+ years and im based in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Before qualifying as a clinical hypnotherapist, I was helping people achieve their fitness goals and changing their lives through nutrition. Through this I became more interested in the mental aspect of fitness and sports and how the mind can have a powerful effect on a human’s performance and also in their everyday lives. I was lucky enough to train and take my Practitioners Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy at the HypnoFocus School of Training in Staffordshire & am now a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and also hold a Diploma in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

I currently specialise in treating anxiety and depression, having been diagnosed with GAD (generalised anxiety disorder) around 10 years ago, and with my back ground in competitive sports I also specialise in sports performance and psychology. Also, with around 20 years working with nutrition, I also specialise in weight loss and weight management and have worked with everything from eating disorders and food addiction, to completely changing the health of people, even when they feel they have been failed by the medical system. I also really enjoy phobia work as its amazing to be able to completely change somebodies life in a matter of hours.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool that can be used to break bad habits, overcome fears and phobias, improve your enjoyment of life, boost self-esteem and self-confidence, enhance your success in business, sport and your personal life, and help achieve life goals.

When treating clients, I never use just hypnotherapy. My approach includes looking at your life style as a whole, including diet, lifestyle habits, and your cognitive thought process to your current problems or barriers which you feel may be holding you back in life.

For your peace of mind, I am bound to abide by the Code of Ethics of the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council, a copy of which can be found at their web site.

Working together I can help you with Anxiety & Stress, Breaking Habits, Confidence & Self Esteem, Medical Conditions, NLP, Pain Management, Performance Nutrition, Phobias & Fears, Sports Performance, Weight Loss & Management.

I offer a free 30min face to face consultation where we can meet and discuss your issue. This means you can then go away and make an informed decision on whether I am the therapist for you, and also whether you feel I can really help you with your issue - rapport is everything when it comes to successful treatment.

For clients where physical access is a problem we have disabled access, plus I also offer Skype/Zoom Sessions online for all my services.

Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.

All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
