About me
Welcome, I’m Sophie, I am a Qualified Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Hypnotherapist.
Counselling and Hypnotherapy can benefit us in many different ways.
Whether you need to beat a habit, reduce anxiety or start performing at your best.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I utilise a number of methods and theories when working with you, allowing you to go at your own pace, the therapy is tailored for you, your situation, your personality, and your goals.
People come for Hypnotherapy for a number of reasons, Quit smoking, weight management, you may have low self-esteem or suffering from feelings of anxiety or depression. You may be experiencing a lack of direction, feelings of boredom or of being trapped. Perhaps you are experiencing difficulties in a significant relationship, that you are unable to manage in a healthy way. These ongoing issues, without the knowledge and/or support of how to overcome them, may leave you feeling lost and overwhelmed.
Together we can work through the reasons your attending hypnotherapy and I can offer a safe, supportive, confidential space, free of judgement, to enable you to explore your feelings, emotions and work through your situation. I will work with you, support you in finding the answers you need, and coping strategies to enable you to move forward and achieve your goals
I took an interest in well-being and mental health, when I became a people manager in the corporate banking world. This environment has given me a wealth of knowledge and allowed me to work with a range of people. I gained my Counselling and Hypnotherapy qualifications, it allowed me to support teams up and down the country in my role as a wellbeing manager. Whether it was helping with anxiety, a family situation or work-related stress, I was able to empathise, provide the support and tools to help them improve their situation. I saw how much stress and anxiety effected people, how it can take over your day-to-day life, making daily tasks unbearable, feel overwhelming, and this is why it’s an area I now specialise in. I can support you by looking at the root cause of the issue and help you overcome that in the right way, to help you move forward.
I spend some of my time Volunteering for TheMix supporting 18 – 25-year-olds. This is a charity organisation that supports young people, with short term help, with mental health and emotional wellbeing. I provide counselling over the phone or via webchat with an aim to support them by listening to their problems and helping the find ways to cope in a confidential space.
I’ve been told by my clients I am a warm and friendly person, and that people feel safe and at ease in our sessions. I will talk openly and honestly with you throughout our sessions. You may experience a range of emotion in therapy, but it’s not all tears, you may laugh as well.
