About me
Having worked in the gambling sector for many years before becoming a hypnotherapist, I understand how life destroying gambling and other addictions can become. I offer a dedicated professional, confidential service to all clients starting with an initial discussion about how I might be able to help, followed by a free initial consultation. Thereafter each session (lasting approximately an hour in total) is chargeable, at a fixed rate for your session type.
All sessions are held in my therapy room in Glasgow city centre. The initial consultation will identify the things you want to work on, whether hypnotherapy and associated techniques are suitable to help, what you hope to achieve and how we will work together to achieve positive changes for you. Working together, we will go through a detailed assessment and then agree a therapy plan and start work. I believe in an open, honest approach, fully involving you the client. Effective therapy is achieved by forming a trusting, open and totally confidential relationship between therapist and client.

The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR)
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.

Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Further information
The number of sessions you have is your decision as hypnotherapy does not require years of treatment. I aim to keep the number of sessions to one, but some conditions may require more. Most people notice positive changes after the first session.
